"Hail Jesus, full of Grace, the Father is with Thee,
Blessed art thou amongst men" and "Blessed is the fruit of thy Sacrifice." "For You, Christ Jesus, have been born the Savior of our souls." |

1 Then I answered it correctly. I have no need to see your lies and distortions as you have already presented them. This must be my lucky day. |

1 That's not true. Here are my 2 observations: 1- Unfortunately RCs and Orthodox are offended by our beliefs. I do not mean this to insult. I know Mary is an extremely touchy subject. By just having our belief we are bound to offend. It is not intentional and it is not an insult. But is is always taken as such. 2- I sometimes think there is more tolerance by caths for other faiths who don't believe in Christ at all than for Protestants who believe Mary was special and instrumental, but still only human and definitely not an intercessor. Protestants do not dislike Mary. Many, many times we have written of her obedience and humility. More than one have indicated that she was someone to look to as a role model. Doesn't sound like we don't like her to me. |
|
She shows up to Catholics only because Catholics are the only ones who believe she can. Obviously. Mary NEVER tries to prove anything. She does not come of her own instigation. Whenever Mary comes, it is at the urging of God for His own reasons. It is not that she dislikes protestants. But what would be the point of God asking Mary to speak to you if you don't believe she can? That is silly. |

Hi disciple!
Blessings, friend! Here are your answers. I know that some will sound hostile to caths, but that is not my intention. It is my honest opinion and belief, not an attack. Only in artwork by artists who use their imagination as to what she might have looked like (similar to Jesus) I honestly don't know. There might be other groups who have claimed to have seen her. I'm not sure. As with any kind of contact with the dead (seances, palm-readers etc.) we are specifically told not to partake - this warning is completely scriptural. This, specifically, I say with no malice. I know that it hurts caths, but it is my belief and not a personal attack. No, I was taught to keep my eyes and heart focused on Jesus. No wavering. That, for me, means no Mary. I acknowledge that she was a gentle, humble, obedient servant. Someone to strive to be like. But no, I don't wonder about her still being here. I know you're being tongue-in-cheek, my friend, but I honestly think that anyone who was as involved in Jesus's life as she was, and who lived through the events in his life, and who was chosen by God for her specific purpose, would have anything BUT love for a fellow human being. No, I do not revere her, but I do think she was a beautiful person. IF she ever met a protestant she WOULD love them. It is my belief that she will not in this lifetime, though, since she is not here now. Again, I say this with no malice, although just the belief will probably be taken as such. |

2 Oh yes she does, she likes non believers and protestants. Actually disciple, our Blessed Mother can be seen by non-Catholics. Example, Mexico is 95% Catholic because of the appearance to a Aztec man. While the reformation was taking place, Mexico was become Roman Catholic Christian. A Protestant journalist investigated the appearance of our Blessed Mother in Medjugorje, became Catholic. Saints such as the VM gather believers for her son Jesus Christ. http://www.medjugorjeusa.org/wayneweible.htm |

2 Even tho I like your prayer, I know what you are trying to do. You are trying to snob our Blessed Mother. The Hail Mary is Scriptural. Luck 1:28 Hail Mary full of grace The Lord is with you Blessed are you among women And blessed is the fruit of thy womb JESUS. |
Did you ever wonder how the image of Jesus as we know it came to be? Very early depictions of Jesus were Apollo like and looked nothing like Jesus as we know Him today. If interested, I will tell you. |

Read Genesis 1:26-31! Adam (the fore runner of Christ),and then chapter three 14-15 speaks of Adams replacement, who will die on a cross! Genesis chapter five gives the generations of Adam! |

1 The analogy of the first man, Adam, is introduced by a citation from Genesis 2:7. Paul alters the text slightly, adding the adjective first, and translating the Hebrew adam twice, so as to give it its value both as a common noun (man) and as a proper name (Adam). 1 Cor 15:45b then specifies similarities and differences between the two Adams. The last Adam, Christ (cf 1 Cor 15:21-22) has become a ... spirit (pneuma), a life-principle transcendent with respect to the natural soul (psyche) of the first Adam (on the terminology here, cf the note on 1 Cor 3:1). Further, he is not just alive, but life-giving, a source of life for others. |

1 Sorry AM, but we are not offended by your and yours beliefs. We are offended because of what most, and I say most, not you, protestants say that we are idolizing Mary. That is what offends us. I don't know how many times we RC's have stated in this thread that we do not Idolized Mary and yet we get the same accusation over and over and over again. Yes Mary was only human, but in being only human we (RC's)believe that it is more reason to hold her in high esteem. You and I, as humans know that temptations are great and often times it is so easy for us to say NO to God. And yet, Mary being fully human said yes to God. I can imagine that Mary was probably very afraid...what would society say of a virgin being pregnant? And yet she took it on. Your belief that Mary is Not an intercessor is your belief, and I respect that....now why can't you respect my belief that She IS? |
