There are many good secular choices and more relevant to our history:
"Aude Sapere" (Dare to know)
"Écrasez l'Infâme" (Crush Infamy)
"E Pluribus Unum" (From the many, One)
or my favorite
"Live Free or Die"
I was just thinking the E Pluribus Unum would should be the only saying on money.

No cbbare, that has more to do with the NRA lobby and misinterpretation of the 2nd ammendment. Where you fundies draw your conclusions from, it never ceases to amaze me.

I rarely notice or care about what is written on American money. The big problem American money is that it has lost 40% of its value under the Bush administration.

But it really pissed me off when Indiana decided to put "IN GOD WE TRUST" on the LICENSE PLATES!! The bastards! My relatives had to pay $30 to get a different plate put on. This is an outrage in a state with many atheists or just non-religious people

If you guys push too hard with these religious symbols, we will push back. We are sick of it.

How could any government give the old heave-ho to a god? What kind of wimp do you worship? OT Bible god didn't put up with any sh!t. But that was back in ancient times when all sorts of gods seem to be much more powerful than today. Could that have something to do with education???

You have to be kidding, right? If we outlawed possession of firearms will you volunteer to take them away from those not prone to following laws? By the way, the USSC this year said the right to bear arms is an individual right so the misinterpretation apparently is yours.

Production of dollar coin ceaced in 1904. In 1921 the Peace dollar was stuck as a circulating commemorative tru 1935. The Eisenhower dollar 1971-1978 was also a circulating commemorative. In 1979 with the Suzy B. Anthony dollar coins where back again as as commercial strikes. That is a lot of of years without production. Technically 75 years between commercial strikes. That stupid motto never appeared on either the 3 cent nickel or silver pieces or 20 cent silver. It also never appeared on one, three and four dollar gold coins. It was not on silver dollars until 1878, halfs and quarters until 1892. Quarter Eagles in 1908.

Your the expert, find me one.
Eat your heart out. Most of our coins state In God we Trust and they will keep on saying In God we Trust. The fact that you found some coins that didn't say In God We Trust was probably a token act of kindness in deference to paranoid atheists in various stages of acute depression with suicidal tendencies. Great country, right?

Hmmm.......Indiana's In God We Trust license plate is a specialty license plate.

House Enrolled Act 1013, authored by Rep. Burton and passed by the General Assembly in the 2006 legislative session, allows for the manufacture and purchase of state license plates featuring the words,“In God We Trust.” No additional fee will be enforced for purchase of the plate, as is the case with all other specialty license plates. It will be offered for all vehicle types, including cars, trucks, and SUVs.

The license plate will be available to the public on January 1, 2007 (at the time of the person’s plate registration renewal based upon the first letter of his/her last name).

Specialty plates are just that, available to those that wish to pay extra to have one. There is no EXTRA charge for the standard plate.

Seems there is no EXTRA charge for this plate but one is not required to pay EXTRA for the standard plate either,

I say hurray for the skeptics who questioned the churches' teaching that disease was the just punishment from a wrathful god and instead, looked for the causes of disease in the natural world and the means to control them. People like Roger Bacon who was imprisoned for 20 years for daring to say that nature can be understood and explained.
God does not cause you to be sick. My Catholic Church certainly never taught that, and Jesus Himself refuted the idea that God was punishing people who were afflicted with disease or blindness were somehow less deserving, or had done some great sin. You clearly do not know very much about Christianity, and God. If you let go of satan's hand and seek God you could be cured of your blindness and ignorance, but till you do that I'm afraid it's hopeless unless God takes pity on you.

I don't live there anymore, but people told me it was the standard plate. It was on the majority of the cars last time I was there. Yuck! I was unaware we were drifting south into the Bible Belt

Read about the catholic church during the black plague.

Where in the NT?
[you]don't know very much about Christianity, and God.
I was brought up in the RC church. I was a good student of the catechism.

Your belief in evil spirits shows a dark ages mentality. Take responsibility for your misdeeds instead of blaming demons.

But I don't believe in God, and neither does anyone in my family or any of my friends. The majority of people I know in the Midwest are atheists.
While I understand that some people have religious beliefs, and I tolerate that, I privately find such opinions primitive and an indication of a weak mind or inferior cultural development. And I certainly don't want unscientific concepts written on my license plate, against my will. It is my choice, is it not?

Of course it is your choice and Indiana offers both, for no extra charge, as I pointed out, but apparently that fact went over your head. Didn't this Indiana plate argument begin by you making unsubstantiated claims which were ultimately shown to be false?
