http://www.tnr.com/politics/story.html... At the end of the transcript he says "If you're here without a church home and you know that the lord has set you free, you want a church home, come on! Red, white, black, yellow, Asian, Hispanic, come on!" Are these the words of a black racist? Would a man that hates white people welcome white people to join his church?

Why would people of another race join his church just because he says join him? You blacks are going to defend this man into the ground. Calling whites racist is over. Your gig is up. Prepare to defend yourself!…………..verbally that is.

It's just that unlike some people I don't believe everything according to how the media frames it. I watched some of his videos myself, read his transcript. I haven't found a single part where he says "all white people are racist". He does talk about how rich white people are mainly in control of the government and our society, which is true, and how rich white people generally don't care about minorities. And I agree, but they also don't care about non-rich white people either. If you're not rich stop attacking this guy. You are doing exactly what the wealthy special interests that have hijacked this country over the last 8 years want you to.

To detail the problems with each and every broad application you make in you effort to WALK with the Reverend in his brand of shoe and polish, you commit to a racism you clearly don't even comprehend is the very sort one would use to frame the very definition.

Obama is the devil in 1/2 black sheep's clothing. He is the head of the sleeper cell we have all been hearing about. He has been outed and we can now make an informed decision. I hope all voters are now re-thinking their choices and not voting for the black liberation theology that Obama would bring to mainstream America.

You are doing exactly what the wealthy special interests that have hijacked this country over the last 8 years want you to. I couldn’t disagree with you more. In fact, I can turn your argument 180 degrees. There is a saying if you really want to know who a man is just ask him who is heroes are. Obviously Farrakhan is at the top of his list. Now are you also defending Farrakhan? As far as Wright not saying “all white people are racist” so there for he is not racist. I believe your bar is much to high. It’s a much higher standard than you hold me to. You already called me racist and I didn’t say “all blacks are racist”. As far as me defending the white wealthy and that I’m doing exactly what they want, I can only say that the rich people here are no different than the rich in any nation. Are you saying that only white rich people don’t care about minorities or the poor? We can take a poor person and make him wealthy today and what will you have?… Answer: another rich person that’s no different than any other rich person. I do not suffer from wealth envy. In fact, I believe that it’s you who are defending racist minorities. By changing the argument to one of wealth (which is the same thing they always do) your doing exactly what they want. You may not be black, but you are an over the top minority worshiper. That way you can say your one of the good white guys. You can call me what you want.

In that vein, it would be worth noting that it's primarily (almost entirely in fact) White people engaging in this very discussion (that very much includes the defense of the Reverend). The Michael Richards incident is another very good example ? After his crazy hate filled/inspired meltdown, lots of so-called Whites were complaining saying "here we go again ! They'll (Blacks) be screaming for their pound of flesh over this one till the #ucking Cows come home !"" I told everyone at the time that they were wrong. I also suggested that they take note of the Mel Gibson incident which began before and ran in parallel, and to begin counting by days and means who is more/most intent on perpetual apology to no end, but rather to ultimate revenge ? I couldn't have been more right as usual I might add. I couldn't find a Brother for miles who could give a flying #uck about the Richards incident. This again highlights one of the many misperceptions about Black people again most vigorously underwritten by those who again claim only and ever to so adore them ? African Americans (in my experience) are uniquely able to discern when someone is clearly just sick in some sense, and they don't tend to beat the dying horse who's already spitting dirt. That is a more so-called White trait. If I were African American, I'd be very concerned with who's speaking on my behalf and in my defense, because by the time the Cosmopolitan elite are done with their explanation as to why everyone should just adore you, everyone's gonna feel good reason to think you're all just no good (if they don't know better).

TheTimeIsNow wrote: <quoted text> You must be referencing him calling Hillary a typical white woman. Could it be that he meant she had a typical white upbringing rather than that there is anything about her personality or behavior that is typically white? No, I'm hearkening to Obama (the Reverend's dear attache) and his description of the GrandMother who loved him, nurtured him, nourished him, cherished him, educated him, acculturated him, etc when his own Black Father would not, and then to his summary dispatch of her to the refuse pile where she will be treated with the very worst sort of regard by every casual hand. This really isn't about the Reverend, is it ? We are in fact talking ultimately about a Presidential candidate here, are we not ? The extent to which the Cosmopolitan elite have abandoned their own pretext and so-called sacred principle in this case is shameful and utterly transparent. These associations of which we are speaking are not casual by any means, and these intimate affiliations between himself (Obama) and those who would regard America with such open revile is entirely relevant. Again, if Obama were White, there would be NO apology on his behalf from any lugitimate contingent. MOST ESPECIALLY there would be no such defense from those like minded to yourself. quite the contrary ? The very greatest condemnation would come from your like were the tables altered to a configuration where your very honesty were not so challenged by circumstance and your ever ready necessity to advance your apologist mantra. Your sense of so-called fair play has been trumped by another necessity in effect and to simplify. This discourse benefits nobody but you in your comprehension of win/lose. It benefits African Americans in the least, I assure you - as it again promotes the perception that they just can't play fair and only ever play fast and lose ? Sorry skip, that's your game. Why do you feel so compelled to assign your tactics to others who aren't even involved in the discussion as far as I can see on this board ? These are the walls and bullwark of your lies that really are killing Black people. So, I'm just gonna sit and repeat the same thing over and over and over and over, because there is no benefit to doing anything else for your sake ? """YOu're just a typical Whitey after all !"""

No, that's not what I'm saying. Most rich black men (and women) are the same. And there's a few good rich people of all races. But there's nothing racist about observing the fact that the wealthy upper class in this country is overwhelmingly white. I don't suffer from wealth envy either. But I'm not blind to how the government only cares about rich people. They hire the lobbyists and they promise the campaign contributions, and so that's who the government listens to. Look at Iraq. You're not really going to tell me that had nothing to do with rich people pushing their interests in Washington?

Farrakhan got an award from the church for some work he did rehabilitating ex-felons. I'm not sure how much Wright looks up to him or for what reasons. Still Obama has said one man in history he looks up to is Abrahama Lincoln. Abraham Lincoln may have defeated the CSA and lead our nation to the abolishion of slavery, but he was still a racist. He had spoken that he didn't believe black people were the equal of white people and was supportive of segregation. Does that mean that Obama must be racist against black people just because he looks up to Abraham Lincoln? No, because that's not why he looks up to him. Similarly, I doubt that any admiration Wright might hold for Farrakhan would be due to his racism.
