They could help USA by increasing their imports of American goods
in exchange for their incredible exports to the U.S.
Their interest in USD stability is inextricably intertwined with their vast investments in the U.S.- that way they have "plowed back" the enormous profits they have earned from their imports to the U.S.
A weakening of the dollar means reduced values of their investments
in the U.S.
China's economy - now the second biggest in the world make them worthy partners..........the problem is they are constantly improving their "product" whilst USA is fighting to just maintainp yesterday's quality.

So it has come to this? Communists having to remind capitalists of the need to limit deficit spending?

China should keep aloof from this crowd and help Cuba.
China should avoid the tactical political dance like India

Chances are that today Communism is just a shell for those at power
in China and a way to keep the masses down - to ensure their power
tomorrow too. Inside they are just as capitalistic as you and I.
Capitalism and Communism are both just techniques and political tools to ensure economic growth for those "at power".
Just as religions are in fact power tools. Think about it!

As an Indian I can explain the role of indian politics.
A country like India had more problems than any other country around the globe.
So the Non-alighnment slogan is dead.
Pro Gandhi is gone.
Problems are aplenty .
Still the social injustice is there.

Naturally to keep those bollywood dreamers in good mood the poltical bigwigs should dance according to the invisible God.

Well, I hope China doesn't hold its breath.

Cause itll suffocate if it thinks our government will actually stop using bonds as a form of currency, a low circulation one that doens't have a high effect on prices, so they can continue to finance their massive spending.

Eventually, when bondholders realize the government can't and won't pay back these bonds, there will be a run on the bonds. So all that inflation pent up will burst forth like water loosed from a damn. The effects will be devastating.

Thats what you get from a massive government with a huge empire.

THe examiner,

Well, thats exactly what they are doing.

Its like a dog chasing its tail.

Except in this case, the tail is getting shorter and the dogs snout is getting smaller.
