Are Women as Sexy as they used To Be?

No, I don't think women today are as sexy as they used to be. Looking at movies from earlier times, the starlets protrayed an sexiness that left it to the imagination. They showed clevage and a little leg, most of their sexiness was with a look, a smile, etc. On the flip side, look at Paris Hilton, et al. they are walking around virtually naked--what you see is what you get.

Paris Hilton is a very bad example. Way to flat and ugly. As for the rest of your points, you hit the nail on the head.

Whoops! I think I just contradicted myself from an earlier posting. Then again, Hitesrunprincess (neat name) was making valid points about old movies and current celebrities. So maybe I didn't after all.

However, people here can be the judge if I did or didn't, by reading my prior postings. I'm willing to own up to my mistakes if necessary.

That's my point, I think sexiness in movies and TV has given rise to just being cheap, since that is what a lot of girls try to copy, then they don't appear sexy, they just appear cheap.

Being in Asia I really have to say that from my perspective Asian women have it all over America. In the last 40 some odd years being in and out of Asia and having girl friends from what is considered most Asian countries, with the exception of indonesia, they all beat American women hands down. They are more petite, thoughtful, caring, polite, well groomed with skin like polished Jade, in public never drawing attention to themselves, are not pushy, very soft spoken and in general ladies Two hours in Bangkok will give you more eye candy than a month in 99% of towns and cities of the US. LA, Miami, and LV come close to here.
Of course there are exceptions to the general rule, but they are fewer and farther between than the rest of the world. I may add Europe is the pits....

My old grandpa would sit there smoking his Lucky Strikes and have his customary two shots of bourbon per night, and tell me that Myrna was a "stand up broad". To me, that was the highest compliment you could give a woman.

That is the kind of woman I like. And I don't think they are in short supply now. Times have changed, that's all.

YES! Women are still women in Asia.

In America, they think that they have to act tough like men. When they are not tough. They think that they have the right and even the ability to do the same job as men, but they are incompetent in many of them as well as a danger to the public.

One example is policewomen. They should not be strutting about with a gun on their hip. They are incapable of performing the job. Women police are too weak to apprehend a male criminal without shooting and killing or maiming him. Women police officers are more likely to resort to deadly force than male police. They are not able to defend themselves in dangerous situations and cannot stand alone in the face of any danger.

Women firemen are even worse.
Imagine you are trapped under a heavy burning piece of timber in a burning building. But you're in luck... the firefighters have arrived! Oh-oh, the firefighter who poked her cute little blonde head through the door can barely carry the axe. Too bad. You are going to burn to death. She got chosen for the job over the 6'5" burly guy for PC reasons. So now you get to pay.

Lady cops are a joke. Especially the fat ones.

I think the women of my generation are sexier now than they were when they were in their 20's experience , experience, experience. As far as the women of today - the ones on camera seem to be more good looking, but I have noticed that in pictures where they were caught off guard - they are not as good looking. Sexier - no, but that could be that my definition of sexy has changed. I like good conversation as much as sex now - and consider a woman who can hold her own in such a conversation to be sexy. I don't look for one night stands anymore.

The current run of 20-somethings are too often repulsive, impossible to tell from common prostitutes. Worse, they are rather poorly educated, like trying to chat with a child. Feminism has failed women badly, unable to see that it is indeed the wine and not the bottle.
