We all know to read the ad for the piece and look before we leap on jewelry. Then when we get it home, look, loupe,weigh, and think. The pieces are always magnified.

I agree about the swatches of colors shown behind a piece. I don't care about that. And I really don't like seeing the piece on a model. Show and model and not the piece until they do a close up. Isn't showing it on the host good enough?

Bella, did Aracept help your parents? It really helped the doctor that I wrote out what Dad was doing instead of saying it out loud. I know you know how I feel. And that helps me feel better. Many many of us have gone down this path.

The Aracept seemed to help. It also stabilized any further decline for years with my Mom. I hope it helps your Dad.

Yea... Agree about the model thing. Kind if a waste. My husband hates it when they proclaim you can see it across the room.

Nora, most of us has been down that road and my heart breaks for you and mine aches a little too as I remember how it was with my parents, especially my Mom, you have my thoughts and prayers as does your Dad!

Nora, I wish I knew more about your situation to help, but I haven't gone through this yet. I hope the aracept and other drugs help him out. I think you were very smart to write down your concerns and give them to the doctor. That way you spare you and your Dad any arguments and hurt feelings.

Mrspeacock, I don't have a clue since I have never heard of Diamond Speed Games, if you find out let us know what they are.

They've done Speed Games with Brian in the early AM. It has been a while though. It just means they go really,really quickly from item to item and the inventory on the items is low so you have to be speedy to order it if you want it.

Bella, then that is the same as Fast and Furious? Or, is Fast and Furious all turntables?

Fast and Furious seems to mean mostly turntables lately. They have gone back to calling the speeding from item to the next Speed Games again. Just my take on it. :-)

Hi Girls!!! What has everyone been doing..buying bling!! I wrote a note last weekend telling all that I have had done and when I copied it---poooof....GONE.I need to go back several weeks and read everything.I am done all my testing the last was last Tuesday a heart cath. I am good to go just waiting on the insurance company to give a okay. I am excited and nervous but I guess that is what suppose to be.

Wow there is so much to catch up on,I want to know that everyone is doing fine. I bought a wreath for my moms grave.Her birthday was May 6 and then Mothers Day.She has been gone 14 years this Christmas day and I feel like I haven’t had her in forever.I know you guys take good care of your parents but I have seen some shameful things done to a persons parent.They won’t be there one day.Have to go get a hair cut so I will be talking more later.Miss you guys!!

So, my hubby took his car to be fixed, and they keep coming up woth more stuff to get done. So, I think it's just because they already have the car apart and they want to get us while it's there. I told him that he shouldn't fall for it. Even if there is a real issue, they may jack up the costs of labor, etc. You can't comparison shop while they have it. Am I just too suspicious? They wanted to charge him another almost $300 for replacing some gaskets and tubes inside the engine. We are already paying over $600 for a tune-up, some sensor that has to be replaced and 2 small belts.

Mrspeaock, I just had a thought, if we all went to mechanic's school, we could all afford the bling that we all love.:) Don't blame you for being suspicious they have a reputation for ripping people off, had a news report on our local news about that a few weeks ago and they confirmed it when they took a car in with "NO" problems but almost all of them "found" something, you have to be careful.

Copcycat, I took my MIl Tuesday to have some more stitches remved but he did not take them all. We are to go back again next Tuesday to have a few more removed and maybe another time after that. Her knee is still givng her problems so not sure yet what she wants to do about it.

I didn't think I would ever get my atiches out, even tho there was only a few, the Dr had put so much skin glue we had to wait for all of that to wear off, I finally got the last one out about 2 1/2 weeks ago, he had me glued really well.:))

OOPS, that was supposed to be "stitches".

I'd would be suspicious of the car repair place. I've been ripped off by that kind of service where they keep finding more to repair.

Mrs.Dolittle,does your mom in law have to have chem or radiation?

Thanks for the thoughts on the car repairs. We just did what we needed to, and did NOT do the other stuff. The car is old and not worth much. We need to squeeze a few more years out of it. It's my hubby's back and forth to work car. It still cost over $600. No jewelry buying for me for a good while!
