We have happy ladies and happy pets this morning. My Chihuahuas got some scrambled eggs and biscuits this morning. Hubby took me to brunch and I did a doggie bag of eggs and biscuits.

We had constant thunder storms early this morning, but by noon it was gorgeous weather.

First JTV had all that gorgeous tanzy that had dried up in the old mine color. The Morganite mine has stopped producing. The Chrome mine is having issues.,I wonder what will take their place.

Bella, the opal has doubled in price, so I don't know if they will be able to have much of that, either. I think it will be a lot more quartz like amethyst, citrine, prasiolite, etc. Color and Karat will be hurting for more exotic gems. They did bring in a lot of aqua for March. Maybe they will be doing more Mahaleo rubies getting ready for July.

So, what did you all think of morganite day? I thought it was a little boring. I guess it's because I bought a bunch of morganite before, so I wasn't looking for more. There werem't any WOW pieces, except for the ring Bella bought. That was only on air for a minute at midnight last night. There seemed to be a lot of earrings and rings. Only a few pendants. I didn't see the butterfly pendant, and I would have expected to see that today.

I was surprised they had so few of the YAM ring. I got mine the first night they were the web and there was only 3 size 8s. They seemed to spend half the shows on earrings. I got a new morganite pendant that sold out on the Sat preview show. It was the only new pendant that I saw. I missed Robert... But they timed the event the weekend of his wedding. Sigh. He makes the morganite shows less "conmercial" and "sales pressure" feeling.

I have noticed in place of our beloved turntables, the "soup de jour" is to take one or two items (like for example the morganite studs) and beat them to death for all the shows. They spend at least 10 min of every hour beating the TBV drum. I cringe now when that "TBV" circle and voice over comes up..... Ugh....:-(

I also cringe when they get those fabric swatches out and show that "road kill orange" color of the summer. I never liked that color.

On the up side, the moranite pieces were beautiful. I love the rose gold. So sad that mine only wants to mine minerals for cell phones.

Bella, I am glad someone else noticed them constantly showing the TBV or all the different stud earrings. I missed Robert also. He makes that Morganite and Chrome special. Which pendant did you get? I didn't see too many of those. A couple cushion cuts with an accent stone and diamond chips. I think I saw Misty with a cluster pendant that was an overall pear shape.

I guess KTV goes for what they can make the most volume of pieces like earring studs. If they have this big piece of rough, why not make a few dozen large pieces for rings and pendants. That's where ShopNBC is different. They charge a lot more, but they will make some Large pieces, but less of them.

The pendant is MAR091. And I agree the JTV philosophy seems to to sell a huge quantity of cheap stuff and cut back on the more expensive pieces in less quantity. I think that is why they have virtually eliminated turntables. It was eating into their "beat it to death" time. Plus I wonder how effective silver ring turntables are as the rings cannot be sized and turntables frequent feature less demanded sizes (as frequently do the preowns). Going to more rings in silver may be killing off the turntables.

Bella, I think that you are right. Silver ring turntables doesn't sound appealing at all. The last of the purple diamond pendants is gone. I could have bought it last weekend but I bought that rainbow pendant instead. I hope they will bring back another purple diamond pendant in the future that's a bit larger. I always hesitated buying it because it said it was only half an inch. I have a ring, so I guess that may be the only purples I ever get.

Last night they waited till the last five minutes of Misty's show to bring out some unique and pretty morganite rings. Right after they beat the morganite studs for the impteenth time. BTW, the studs are nice... My daughter has them. But when Robert is on with Morganite anything he sells it out so they don't have to beat it to death.

It was HFB074 on the pendant. I have some morganite studs, too, and they are nice. I just wish they had spent less time on the earrings in general. They should make a bunch of rings and pendants with the pink diamonds like your ring. Even if they can only make a couple dozen, there are people who would really like them.

That is a gorgeous pendant and since you have yellow, green, and blue diamonds you have a lot to wear it with.:-)

I agree they needed to make more red carpet pieces. They obviously needed more of the pink diamond and morganite ring as it lasted only minutes.

ShopNBC has a diamond day encore from 3PM to 8PM tonight! Enjoy. I am not buying, but I like to look :). I am watching on my computer over the internet because I don't get them on TV.

Anyone watching Chuck on ShopNBC? They had a ring listed at $1244 that said it was silver. I was beside myself thinking how can that be? Supposedly it was appraised for $2450. It turns out it was another mistake on the graphics and website. It was solid 14kt white gold and over 8 grams. The same thing happened on that eternity band I bought a couple weeks ago. It was listed on screen as only 76 points, but it was actually 2 carats! They need someone checking the work over there because it's a little unsettling.

Mrspeacock, I have seen that happen with the graphics a lot with NBC, very disturbing. Beautiful pendant you got, I am still looking for something to buy but haven't found anything yet.

Has anyone seen the host that used to be on KTV that went with Liquadation Channel on there lately, I have had a LOT of tv time lately and I haven't seen Angie or Angela, does anyone know if they are still there? And what about Scout P., anyone know his whereabouts?

I bought LMA095 with Bella's coupon. They looked pretty and large. I loved the YAM ring! It sure went fast!

Took Dad to the doctor. Definitely dementia and he was prescribed Aracept and Namenda. Also they are going to do a brain MRI and an echocardiogram. Dad had the Mini Mental State Exam and got only 19 right out of 30. I just want to protect him.

I re-injured my back by tripping on the dog food bowls twice this weekend. And I may have a bladder infection.

However, I love all the pink diamond rings. I'm keeping them.

That is weird that ShopNBC can have such messed up graphics. I watched a bit today in my computer as we do not get ShopNBC in our cable either. I had seen most of the stuff before. The ring I liked the best was the 3 carat rose gold Chuck platform ring. But after reading the reviews, I would be very hesitant to order. Several people reported bad diamonds and one even had the tip of the ring fall off. Yikes!

Nora, you have some beauties in those pink diamonds, so I do not blame you for keeping them all. I have those earrings you ordered, and they will go nicely with the pink diamonds and any morganites you have. I am sorry your Dad seems to be getting worse mentally. I hope the new drugs help him. I hope your back gets better, too.

Bella, I went and read those reviews. Yikes! The top coming off would be a big disappointment. Someone else had diamonds fall out. How can there be so many 5 star reviews and then so many 1 stars on the same ring? Quality must vary a lot. I love my invisible set green diamond ring from Chuck. I never knocked it around to see if diamonds would fall out or if it would come apart. I sure hope not.

Ordering from any TV Jewelry store is a cr**p shoot as we have all found out one way or another. I think all we can do is read reviews to see if the quality is uncertain or consistent. At least JTV honors their blanket return guarantee. I never have any heartburn ordering from them because I know if I do not live it..... They will take it back. I think with gold and diamonds going up, up, up... It is going to get more dicey as jewelry makers cut corners to keep prices down.
I do think our group is a very well educated group and is pretty good at evaluating pieces from pictures and video. We have far more successful purchases than duds.:)
