I was never prejudice until I had many many experiences of reverse discrimination. Black managers who were cruel to their white employees and over accepting of their black employees. And this was in a corporate environment with emphasis on being diverse. I always got the best raises but really suffered at the hand of their abusive power. Also persons I thought were friends, maintained their discrimination against whites while acting like friends in public. In addition, I had one black friend who was in a bad car accident. I visited her frequently and helped as much as I could. She commented that of all her friends (black) I (white) was the only one who helped her. Once she healed, I was just another white person instead of a friend. Now wouldn't that make you re-consider your trust and influence your beliefs?
