Col 4:1 You slave owners must be just and fair to your slaves. Remember that you also have a Master--in heaven. That is different from saying you must have slaves, this is saying if you have them care for them, exactly as I wrote in my posting. Sorry my language is different, you are not the only one who does not get my driftwood!

Bob of Quantum-Faith wrote: <quoted text> Hint: Jesus had nothing to do with the Book of Revelations. That was written by someone writing 'In The Style Of John' roughly 90 to 150 years after Jesus' supposed life. Most modern folk not blinded by Already-Decided-Ideas, conclude that the bulk of Revelations was a drug or fever induced hallucination. Or, at worst, the events in question were during the Roman persecution of christians, and Caligula was the "beast" spoken of. Else, why write in code? No need, if the author was writing about Things Not Happened. No....at best, it was a drug/fever dream. At worst, it was about Roman Persecution. In either case, not Relevant to modern people. You know nothing of the Angels or you would know how these things are recorded, and also why! My empathy goes out to all and sundry who have not experienced the majestic emotion of knowing their Angels!

Katmandu wrote: <quoted text> LOL!!! Biblical sources, please?? The word "always" pertains to "Time." No variance, if you will. Go read the Hebrew for yourself. Look at each verse where the earth's shape is described. The Hebrew word used to describe it, is flat disc. Not the Hebrew word for ball-- which is never used to describe the earth's shape. You can search and search the bible, in Hebrew, and you will discover I'm 100% correct on this one. Thus, the "always" clause. I'm sorry if that confused you. chief22 wrote: Sources, please? The Bible does NOT contradict itself. Yes it does-- and pretty much from page 1, right on to the last page of the drug/fever dream as chronicled in Revelations. As for the actual contradictions themselves? Here's an excellent list, with explanations. " http://www.infidels.org/library/modern/jim_me... ; And? Since you won't click the link, here's the first several from that page: __________ God good to all, or just a few? PSA 145:9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. JER 13:14 And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, saith the LORD: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy them. __________ War or Peace? EXO 15:3 The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name. ROM 15:33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen. __________ Who is the father of Joseph? MAT 1:16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ. LUK 3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli. __________ Who was at the Empty Tomb? Is it: MAT 28:1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. MAR 16:1 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. JOH 20:1 The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre. __________ Is Jesus equal to or lesser than? JOH 10:30 I and my Father are one. JOH 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I. __________ Which first--beasts or man? GEN 1:25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. GEN 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. GEN 2:18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. GEN 2:19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

I know for a fact from the blatant lack of respect found on this forum, that most of the so called "Atheists" are rather only between the ages of 15 and 18 and are very troubled youths. Grow up and start respecting others views also. You may be right to you, but we are right to us. No one is wrong and everyone is right, this is called being accepting of others and their beliefs.

Ooogah Boogah wrote: <quoted text> Yes, it still doesn't seem a few should be born wealthy while the majority have to work honestly all their lives and never see that kind of wealth, does it? Why would a just God make a world like that? You obviously think God made money! God made food, man made money so that some men (generally speaking as in genderally) wanted power. Funny about that, don't you think? What do you think God has been trying to stop since basically day one? Now, according to the Holy Bible, the old ways did not work, and although some men had fun in wiping out and killing people, this was a violent way of wiping out those that were living with evil in tent. So, those who could not tolerate violence, could not wipe out entire villages including babies, and we chose instead to live with these and some of us adopted the ways of the evil intending. This is not being judgemental, this is just quickly recounting the violent (his)tory of man(kind). While seeking Serah, and considering much the Tribe of Asher, I noticed that this Tribe did not do that which was supposed to be done, and still have their numbers listed in the Book of Revelation and also the New Jerusalem. So, one could then assume that their names are recorded in the Holy Book of Life, even though they had failed what they set out to do. And the Book of Revelation tells us those violent ways are changed, they failed and now it is Angelic Intervention that will intervene. How so could one assume this, you might ask, and then consider Jesus telling us that He will come back "Silent, like a thief". Perhaps that's where the old saying, Silent as a lamb comes from, talking indeed of Jesus, the Lamb who holds the Holy Book of Life. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. He started as an Angel, discussed with God (the name I know Him by at least) what Jesus would suffer on Earth, and came to us just the same. Christians know this, it is inherent within them, it is their genetic make-up, their DNA. This would be what God Himself sees, He sees the majestic make-up of each of us, and how our internal light glows when we do glorious things and are glorious, to being dull and fire and anger when we have evil in-tent-ions. Blessings to you, this perhaps sounds like a Science Fiction tale, because you have not nor have you considered the possibilities of being a Spirit having a Human Experience. Those who are truly Spiritual will always work out improving themselves, and they would not commit the atrocious acts that there is accusations of; and it is my intention (intention in itself is a magical word) to haul myself up that ladder of ascension, such as Jacob did. Each to his own, and I would never judge you for not seeking the spiritual pathway, but I will always feel sorry for you for missing out on the best pathway there is to choose, Serah

kaitouinu88 wrote: <quoted text> How can we "hate" something we don't even believe exists? Obviously I am a Christian and Love Lord Jesus, so have no comprehension over the title of this forum. However, I guess whoever named it really meant only those who do not believe in Jesus, but in reality of not being in reality hating him even though there is no belief. Make sense? No, so, one could then consider that it is the followers of Jesus who are actually being hated here.... seeing as only non-believers are welcome but don't believe in Jesus. Sort of makes sense. Now, there are a few forums named about non-believers staying out, but this is due to the fact that Christians want somewhere they can share their scriptures, their prayers, their Blessings of help when others are down, support when beloved animals pass into their new realm, and more. They want to just love Jesus to bits

Perhaps, you enjoy living in a state of total fantasy-delusion. Hopefully, you won't wander out into traffic one day.... I drive merrily to work peak hour traffic morning and night, and have an impeccable driving record. Funny that you chose that little quip, when my sister was two and a half, she did wander into the street and was bowled over. She nearly died... Cut a long story short, she lived when she shouldn't have, and also walked and talked, and now owns her own home. She goes to Church, and even though she has cerbral palsy, she walks in the way that no balance makes her, crosses the road dangerously and pciks up prescriptions for the old neighbours around her. She took on a 3 legged cat that lost it's leg due to a trap being in the owner's yard, and they wanted the vet to put it down, but she took it home instead and loved it until it died when it was 13. She had a test when she was 21 and my parents were told she would have been a genius if she did not receive such horrendous brain damage.... Someone ran over her beloved dog and killed it, and she went on to the main road, picked up her bleeding and fatally wounded dog, and staggered over the road with it in her arms. She looked at the traffic head on and dared it to strike her once more, as she was protecting the body of her dead and beloved dog; sobbing with grief she took that body safely to her home, and gently laid it down as she sought help to deal with the situation. Thank you for bringing back this memory of courage, you have spurred me on, Serah
