1. The buybull is NOT any "god's word."

2. You wouldn't know the truth if it ran you over with a bulldozer.

HELL! ACCORDING TO JESUS CHRIST!
Posted on June 29, 2007
Did Jesus Christ tell the truth all of the time or just some of the time? Did Jesus Christ tell the truth when He declared the following:”…I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.(John 14:6)
With that thought in mind, I want you to think about something for a moment. Did Jesus Christ tell the truth about Hell? Do you think that maybe he was trying to deceive us about this place of torment, or was He trying to warn us about an eternal place that is very real? Of course I believe the latter and there is not a doubt in my mind that Hell is as real as the ground that you and I walk on.
The words below are the words of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. He is also known as the First and the Last and the Alpha and Omega.(Revelation 1:11) Every single person who is reading this blog will stand before him one day and give an account for their life. If you declare yourself to be a believer in Jesus Christ then you must also believe his words.
There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.(Luke 16:19-31)

You should attribute your sources,it is the ethical thing to do,and as a believer - shouldn't ethics be second nature?

Be blest..

Know I will incur the wrath of the 'brethren', but it needs to be written.

Truly , many of those 'believers' who 'squat' here seem to engage in the fine art of self-aggrandisement. The Gospel, which should be a precious thing to one who claims to follow the Master gets dragged through the mud and trampled by the ..er..'techniques' employed to 'convey' it. It has just degenerated to a form of mere entertainment, nothing more.

What does Jesus instruct His disciples to do when, upon sending them out by twos , their message isn't received?

"And if anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet...."(Matt10:14)

I don't see Him instructing to hang around ,browbeat and antagonise - it's counter-productive. Unless ,of course, it's 'all about you'.

Who 'saves'- you?- or the Spirit?

I believe more could be accomplished on the 'knees, than on the keys'.

Have a good night.

Well stated, "Senecus"...as I posted before, Jesus traveled and preached the TRUTH with authority. However, He did not toss around filthy/vulgar remarks, or chase down those who chose not to heed the Word (it makes me giggle to even imagine Jesus body tackling someone and forcing a sermon. lol!). I know from what I've read that it seems some of you feel it is your personal duty to "save the world"; and though I can appreciate your love for the Lord and the salvation of souls, I feel you have worn out your welcome in this forum. And yes, I understand it is true that Jesus became righteously angry when confronted with evil, but I don't recall reading in the Holy Bible of any account when He called anyone a *&$#@!!! When we, as Christians, speak the Word and share our faith, we also must STRIVE to do our very best to reflect the perfect nature of our Lord Jesus Christ. Filled with the Holy Spirit, we become "salt and light" to the world, and prayerfully bless others with an example of what God has graced in our lives. Therefore, the sharing of our faith is a JOY; how any given person receives it is the work of our Lord. Obviously, if someone is slandering our faith as we share it, they have not yet the heart to receive the truth. Let them be, and pray for them. This forum has become a travesty from its original topic heading, and those remaining only seem to be desperately attempting to prove a semblance of intelligence through barely literate insults. My personal opinion is to simply leave this forum and let them continue turning on themselves. However, this particular post caught my eye, and I felt moved to respond. For what it is worth, God bless each of you; for even if you don't believe in Him, He loves and cares for you and the welfare of your souls.

You have to understand I am a retired prison guard. I took abuse everyday from people. You learn real quick to take up for yourself or die... I am not perfect, but I hold my own with others, maybe too much but I will have to be the one to be judged for that. I don't think anyone should be a door mat for others to walk on. Don't be suprised by my behavior. I speak my mind, would you rather know where you stand with someone or let them lie to you? I am a work in progress, I am not perfect, nor will I ever be. I try to do the right thing, I have my moments as anyone else. Ad you have read, I speak my mind and if I think I made a mistake, I am not afraid to admit it to a person. I have a temper like anyone else, I hold my own like anyone else, I am human I make mistakes like anyone else.

Kait, what I have seen there are many. I suppose that is why I have trust issues. You would not believe the people who said God made me do it, or the devil made me do it. I had one guy who said he had demons telling him to kill again, he was in for trying to murder his girlfriend. He told me of the things he was seeing, he was a Catholic I told him to put his cross on when he heard the voices. He came to me the next day and the cross was burned into his skin like from within his body....I called a psychiatrist for him there was nothing I could do, they took him away. I never knew what happened to that young man. There are lots of weird things out there and weird people who seem harmless. When I would read their files, looks are very decieving. The stories and files I read, will probably always stay with me. When you walk out on the street, you see people, I see gang tattoos, that speak stories about who they are, and what they did. You lose your innocense with people. I suppose I have became hard over the years and tired....In most cases it is not with churches it is with individuals who look nice......usually the scary looking ones are not the bad guys.LOL It just pays to becareful, especially if you are single, or alone. I would also carry mace.
alot of people who do not believe in christian god hear voices.

the term is Schizophrenia. I find it hard to believe that he was not diagnosed during his trail. unless it didn't show up until after he entered "your" prison.

as for the burning of the cross.......if it really happened.......you should be held accountable for telling him to put it on.

again it could have been the power of suggestion.

1 John:1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we decieve ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

1 John 1:9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us form all unrighteous.

1 John 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin no. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

1 John 2;2 And he is the propitiation for our sin; and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

1 John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

1 John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

1 John 2:21 I have written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is in the truth.

1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is the antichrist that denieth the Father and the Son.

1 John2 23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father; but he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

1 John 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil; whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

1 John 5:10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

3 John:1 For I rejoiced greatly, when the bretheren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.

3 John 1:4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

3 John 1:11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil, hath not seen God.
