McCain said it well...Hamas may be terrorists, but they are nominally in charge of Gaza, and we may have to "deal" with them from time to time.("Deal with" was his exact word usage).

But there is a big difference between occasional back-channel or third party brokered communications over matters of legitimate urgency, and face-to-face negotiations of the kind Obama advocates with Iran.

Indeed, the problem is Obama seems idiotically unaware (and I don't use the term lightly) that Hamas, Syria, Hizb'Allah, and Iran are more or less different sides of the same square, and he DOES want to have "face time" with the respective thugs from Iran and Syria.

BTW, it is not the gubament's responsibility to take care of the elderly and children. It is up to parents to take care of their children that they brought into this world.

It is up to individual family units to take care of the elderly in their family, in addition to, the elderly actually planning for their future when they were young.

Additionally, we already spend too much on education and spending more does not necessarily translate into greater quality.
