What you are doing is called be LAZY, VERY INCONSIDERATE, and UNCARING about your customers.
You aren't always going in the kitchen to need hands full in hands full out. For example, getting my check, you don't need to go to the kitchen at most of the restaurants. My refill, they have soda stations, no need to go to the kitchen. Extra napkins, no need to go to the kitchen.

It seems like many of your complaints revolve around 'wasting time'. What is your hurry that you can't wait an extra 2 minutes for a server to clear off a table so he/she can be seated again or 2 seconds to hand another table their salads? If you are in that much of a hurry, maybe you should stick to fast food. You also sound like you expect your server to know exactly what you want. Hope your next one is can read your mind.

Also, it's not about the 2 seconds, it's about that we were FIRST and how that's CUTTING. Don't you get it's out of *RESPECT* if you want our money, huh? We don't have to give you money unless we have automatic gratuity added, but if that is the case, we don't have to add more. We can also get a manger to take it off if we chose to try to. Most of the times though, I am not in a large enough party that had gratuity added already.

It's about being **********FAIR********** Do you like when someone cuts in front of you in line? I doubt you do. Treat others as *YOU'D* like to be treated if that were *YOU* sitting there.
If you want us to be fair to tip you well, you have to treat us that way be not letting cutting happen.
We all have turns.

Think about it like this, don't you think it would be morally wrong of me to tap my server on the shoulder *WHILE* they are taking a table's order to ask her for a couple of refills? It's ******THEIR******* TURN, NOT MINE, RIGHT? If the server would actually get my refills and stop taking their orders, wouldn't that be CUTTING in front of their turn?

WHY is that **********ANY********** DIFFERENT THAN handing food off the tray in the wrong order? CUTTING IS CUTTING ANY WAY YOU SLICE IT!!

As far as the 2 seconds goes, here's a story so you can understand:

I worked a donut shop/diner back in 1998-2002 off and on a little over 2yrs worth. This couple came in sat at the counter, order a buttermilk donut each and a cup of coffee each person. I was working the counter by myself at that particular part of the day. A lady came in, but wanted a mixed dozen donuts to-go, so she was telling me which ones like 3 sprinkles, etc. They also had another lady that walked in that waited behind the lady I was taking the order from while I was picking donuts for this lady. As I was in the *MIDDLE* of getting this lady's order, the lady that ordered the buttermilk donut that was sitting INTERRUPTED me to ask for a buttermilk donut. I told her I was in the middle of taking someone's order to wait her turn. So I finished the first lady with the mixed dozen with getting her donuts into the box and ringing her up, giving her change. Then, since that lady that was behind her got there *BEFORE* the lady at the counter that asked for her buttermilk donut, it's only fair I served this lady that was in line next since she got there first. So I served her a to-go whatever she had ordered(I can't remember), probably some donuts. Anyway, after I fixed it, rang her up, and gave her change,*********THEN********** DID I GET HER A BUTTERMILK DONUT. I MADE HER WAIT ***HER*** TURN****** AS IT IS MORALLY SUPPOSED TO BE!!

Understand what I am saying? It may have taken me 5-8 seconds to grab the donut and hand it to the lady, but that would have been really RUDE of me to interrupt someone's ordering to act like this buttermilk lady is GOD like she is ABOVE EVERYONE ELSE'S TURN. It would have also been rude of me to get the buttermilk donut before the next lady since the next lady was in line *BEFORE* the buttermilk donut lady asked for her buttermilk donut. It would have been rude to cut in front of this lady's turn. She was there *BEFORE* the buttermilk lady asked for what she wanted.

I am not going to serve unfairly, WHY should I expect someone to do that to me, huh? Especially if they want my money. I don't care if the people inside were more likely going to tip(not necessarily like some people tipped for to-go orders, others that ate a full meal inside didn't tip for good service). I care about doing the **********MORALLY RIGHT THING********** BY NOT LETTING CUTTING HAPPEN!!

NOW DO YOU UNDERSTAND IT'S NOT ABOUT THE 2 SECONDS AS IT IS ABOUT THE ***PRINCIPLE OF IT***, HUH? Doing the right thing, so you can have the right thing done do you by us tipping you. I am probably the only person that would have done the right thing. You probably would have interrupted the lady that was ordering to get the buttermilk donut, wouldn't have you just because it was 5-8 seconds. It doesn't matter. It matters that WHO IS FIRST IS WHAT MATTERS THAT YOU DON'T CUT!! I don't care if it's ONE SECOND, it's RUDE to worry about others if you are on someone else's turn just as the example with if a person taps their server on their shoulder interrupting them getting taking an order from another table. It's COMMON DECENCY FROM YOUR *******HEART********* AND HAVE **********MORALS**********

Wow. Just, wow. Obviously, you people, and I mean that just how it sounds, have never worked in the service industry. We are not SLAVES. We are human beings trying to please everyone as efficiently as possible. I feel sorry not only for you, but for every server that will have to serve you in the future. If I were you, I would get used to eating at home, because judging by your attitudes, I wouldn't be surprised if quite a few servers you've come across put fingers or God knows what in your food. Don't mess with the people that handle your food.

Haha, work for my money? That's amusing to me only in the fact that I make my resturant and myself plenty of it. I bust my ass for my bar guests and my tables, but some of the stuff you're complaining about is just ludacris. Ketchup bottles and refills? You might have OCD lady, for real. I could think of a million other things I could complain about at a restaurant other than an extra coke on my table that I may of may not drink. And for your information, bartenders are servers as well. We have to not only make drinks for ourselves and the entire restaurant, but we also serve guests food and wait on tables as well.

I am not stupid. I have had MANY of times bartenders that served us before at tables. My husband and I go out to eat 2-3 times a weekend just about every weekend since Nov. 2000, so I have A LOT of EXPERIENCE. YOU ARE DUMB if you think I don't know this IDIOT!

WE HAVE HAD SERVERS THAT SERVED THE BAR THAT CAME TO SERVE US! We have even sat at bars before and ate.

If that was the case, WHY have we MANY, MANY, MANY of times have tipped 25%-30% and upwards as well as gave $20 christmas bonuses to our favorite servers, huh?

They do make me happy if they do what *I* want them to do and try their best. Even if they make a small mistake and apologize, I am still happy if I saw they TRIED THEIR BEST.
