No doubt this was done to influence the US election. Regardless of what Micheal Moore and Cindy Sheehan say, these murderers are not "freedom fighters".

Yeah, I wouldn't call 'em freedom fighters either. I'd call them the same thing the U.S. military calls them: insurgents. Insurgents fighting a civil war. With the U.S. becoming increasingly irrelevant, even though the U.S. set the stage for the whole thing, with the outcome predicted beforehand by those who knew, most notable Mubarak of Egypt.

Yeah I'm sure they just love us when we kick in their doors and terrorize their families: "Hey listen ya'll, we're bringin' ya freedom here, so git in the corner while we cover you ragheads wit' hoods...hey corporal shoot that kid, it looks like he's got a gun in his pants"

you're about as smart as a teaspoon of melted butter. Can't you see that it was opposite day when these Iraqi officers were killed? Clearly these gunmen merely wanted to bring life into the world, until their calenders revealed the accursed opposite day was nigh. So, in true holiday spirit they went out and shot up a couple people. Fine by me. Would you get mad at someone for giving presents on Christmas? I think not. Just because Iraqis have fierce bloodthirsty holidays doesn't make them bad. We should be nice to them and give them sanctions and adopt them some African babies.

The United States of America is the greatest nation in the History of mankind, so if we are going to discuss these things, then perhaps we might use that at the baseline and starting point to be completely fair and responsible.

Can you explain this post. I think you are making a derogatory comment in a nice way? That is fine, I can handle constructive criticism. So, go ahead and re-post.

This tactic of killing anybody who supports the puppet regime has been going on for a long time. Have they increased the level of killings to get the attention of the American electorate? To 'influence' us to get the hell out and let them solve this among themselves?

Here's my answer: I hope so.

It becomes clear that PM al Maliki Iraqi government let down US troops, by cooperating with the Iranian Ahmadinajad sponsored Mehdi Army Shiite terrorists of a Sadr. As Shiite Muslim, al Maliki support the sectarian war against the Sunnis, and he uses the Shiite terrorists that are supported by Iran with IEDs, mortars and missiles against the Iraqi government soldiers, US troops and innocent Sunni men, women and children. Even for Iraqi PM who is a Shiite Muslim, religious comes before the interests of the country. In his visit to Iran about three months ago, al Maliki requested the 'support' of the Iranian president Ahmadinajad in fighting the Sunnis and Al Qaida that cross the border from saudi Arabia and Syria to Iraq. Now Iraq was taken over in some regions with the Mehdi Army which is nothing less than Iranian proxy as an independent militia inside sovereign Iraq which is similar to the Hezbollah Islamic terrorists in sovereign Lebanon which are independent militia there while they are also proxy of same Ahmadinajad. US Troops therefore should not patrol the streets of Iraqi cities where they are target of the Mehdi Army snipers, and al Qaida Islamic terrorists. US troops should support the ‘federal’ Iraqi government rule in Iraq that is separated to independent provinces according to its Islamic sects. US troops should be away from sectarian war and should start to come back in 2007. The enemy is clearly Iranian regime of Ahmadinajad that must be dealt with before any progress can be made in Iraq.

You hope that gangs of brutal lawless murderers are given equal footing against a majority of honest, innocent citizens who want to live in peace. That is the height of barbarity.

They will only solve this on their own. Barbarity is what they are used to. This is why Saddam had to use such strong arm tactics to keep these factions under control. Why is it that no one really gets this? The Great and Powerful all knowing dimwit in the White house had to go and open Pandora's box creating this huge mess.

My belief is that fewer Iraqi civilians will die once the U.S. leaves.

The U.S. presence in Iraq if the main cause of the violence. Once we leave, they will have to talk to each other.

It is very typical for the left wing liberals to see a problem and to ‘cut and run’ away, not looking backwards...But If US troops will escape from Iraq, the Iranian evil regime will take over Iraq as fast as one can say ‘a-Sadr Mehdi Army’ which is the Ahmadinajad proxy army in Iraq. Iran will take over the oil fields in Iraq, and will threaten the oil-rich countries of the Persian Golf with nuclear WMDs from North Korea, to control 40% of the oil in the world. Sooner than later Iran will attack Israel with WMDs, causing the Middle East to burst in flames... Obviously, the left wing liberals should be kept far away from political power, especially Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and John Murtha who are clueless about the Middle East...

Interesting theories. Funny that I've never heard another soul make those claims. Interesting that you think the rest of the Middle East would permit such a thing.

You man like it is typical for Republicans to "cut and paste" answers. We should have never been there to begin with. We are only making things worse at this time. We need to get the heck out of Iraq and let the citizens of that country solve THEIR problems. You may have missed the part about 75% of them wanting us to go but I did not. It is time to give it up. We made a mess and We have no way of cleaning it up as the administration does not have any concept of what the Iraqi people believe, or want.
