Palin announced a lawsuit to reverse the decision that Polar Bears are not a threatened species under the Endangered Species act.

Gov. Palin and other state officials fear listing the Polar Bears as an endgangered species (even though the Alaska's waters provide a prime habitat for the only polar bears in US jurisdiction).

Palin and other state officials fear that listing the polar bears as endangered will cripple offshore gas and oil drilling and development.

Palin does not care about the environment or preserving any endangered species.

Oil profits are her only concern.

Alaskans to receive $3,269 each
-----
That means RESIDENTS of Alaska.
-----
A way of giving money back to the citizens of alaska.
Palin backed it.
-----
You just propped up Sarah Palin by trying to dis her.
Nice Job LOL :-)
-----
Here is the first few paragraphs from the linked story:
-----
-----

It's the season for Alaskans to be rewarded just for living here, and this year's take is extra sweet:$3,269, a record share of the state's oil wealth combined with a special cash payout to help with stratospheric energy prices.
----
Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell announced today that every eligible man, woman and child will receive $2,069, thanks to dividend payments from the state's oil royalty investment program distributed annually. On top of that, the checks will include another $1,200 from the state treasury to help offset soaring fuel prices.
----
The one-time energy boost was backed by Gov. Sarah Palin and approved by state lawmakers last month. Palin has since been tapped as the running mate of Republican presidential hopeful John McCain.

-----
Don't you wish you had someone like this working of of the Vice Presidents office, for you?

its all about responsible drilling. Even your boy Bush is admitting that global warming is a concern.

Drilling today would have an effect in about ten years....it'd reduce the price by a couple cents. Responsible drilling is needed, but don't think for a second that you'll see a reduction under McCain. He has oil lobbyists on his campaign staff for cryin' out loud.

Ya can't eat a polar bear and you can't drive a polar bear, but you can damn sure eat what oil produces and drive your car or truck on the oil produced. This is a no brainer, drill. Just as soon as America starts the price of mid east crude will drop by 25 to 35 % minimum. Get a grip on reality folks, drill!!

Ref: Responsible Drilling:

The Governor reminded members of Congress that the footprint of development would be less than 2,000 acres. She also assured members that any development would be conducted in a responsible and environmentally safe manner.

People like you dont' care about endangered animals, global warming, rain forests, or conserving natural resources.

You only think of short term greed and profit gain.

What does that leave future generations?

Good point, Bush and his cronies, like McCain and Palin, want their share of the oil profits.

Baloney! and you know it. Oil shares produce profits when there is more drilling.
Short sighted response from you.

With McCain's lack of care of the environment and being another war monger like Bush, soon human beings will become endangered species.

The stop 4 polar bears argument may fall apart when it leaves the country club.
This election is highlighting a class war in the making.
Here is a surprise, conservatives are not the rich. The elites are rich, television and the media are selling this conflict.

LOL. I'm just a Hawaiian beach bum son. Country clubbers cross the street when they see me coming.

But lemme ask you this...whose kids are going to be drafted when it becomes necessary for all the wars McCain is predicting? The country clubbers? Or yours? Recruitment is down. The current forces are on fourth and fifth tours. They're stretched. Sabers are being rattled at Iran. That's the math.

Daily Horoscope for December 17

Capricorn

You're in the mood to spend some money today. That's fine if you've got it, because you'll have a wonderful time strolling around the shops. But it isn't such good news if you're supposed to be sticking to a strict budget because that will be well nigh impossible once you've seen something that catches your eye. It will keep saying 'Buy me, buy me!'
