No. At the time, I felt it was in the best interests of my sons and me, and I still feel that way, 21 years later.

Many women won't answer this because they'll get beaten up for having an abortion. Sad, because I really would like to know. I did some research on the web last night but couldn't find any concrete statistics from an objective source. All I found was "many" or "98%" or "most."

I think many women do regret it at first. It's a natural loss. But 5 years later, 10 years later, etc... do they still regret it? Or do they realize it was the best decision for that time of their life?

This could be an interesting discussion, but I doubt we can keep the fanatics and the blow-hards out.

When I was 18, I was pregnant with my steady boyfriend. Despite the odds and the times, I had the baby but I did seriously think about abortion, after all, all my friends were going to college, I know of 3 girls in our class of 26 that did. MY beautiful daughter that came from that is 30 now and she just had her first baby. The joy I have now makes me cry to think of how things could have ended up. I see and hear of so many women who want to adopt and cannot due to lack of available children.
I went back to college later and am doing well.

I also know of a young woman who has had 11 abortions. She was apparently incapable of remembering to take birth control. Her view of pregnancy is quite awful, it is not taken seriously at all. She has 3 children, the first two live with their fathers. I do suspect as she gets older she may regret her decisions and lifestyle.

Just to make it easier for you, here are the questions again.

Again, I ask you. How would that additional ONE MILLION babies survive? Can the earth keep providing food and water for them? Where will the teachers, the doctors, the other health care workers, the PARENTS, the housing, et al come from???

Most people want to adopt a healthy white baby. They don't want the developmentally delayed, the physically handicapped, the AIDS babies, the crack babies. Where will they live? How will they be taken care of?

You and your ilk are SO incredibly irresponsible in just encouraging young girls to have their babies without looking at the possible future.

Don't just worry about carrying the pregancy to term. Think of those children's future as well.

And your lying videos. Showing an abortion obviously performed late term and telling some young girl who's 8 weeks pregnant that will be her baby. How can you? How can you talk her into having a child by lying to her? And then not worrying one iota when she walks out determined to have her baby, and you don't even give a damn what happens to her or the baby anymore. Your job is done! But hers has just begun. And then you'll look at kids running the streets with snotty noses and read about young girls leaving their babies in a car so they can party, and you won't ever connect it with the young girl you lied to.

I posted this forum for yes/no answers. If you feel the need to elaborate your answer please do so. I did not intend for this forum to be a prolife/prochoice debate or discussion. Thanks

Have you ever read "The Handmaids Tale"? All these people who won't take care of the overabundance of unwanted children should think about it, or read Sheri Tepper and see what happens when Nature strikes back.
11 does seem like a lot of abortions, I mean if she didn't want kids go sterilazation.
I would think that most women would not make that decision w/o a lot of thought and soul searching so they probably would have given the thought of regrets consideration

What's not to get? What's wrong with that? What's the difference between 1 or 100. Either they are all right or they are all wrong. There's no threshhold where it suddenly becomes wrong.

Why judge her? Maybe her life was in danger 11 times.

Yes I read it and don't really worry about a Canadian author's warnings that the whole world is going to go to heck cause abortions are made illegal. It wasn't a very good novel.

Eric, how is it that nothing you says justifies the changing of our Constitution to bend to your self righteous moral values?

There are plenty of children available to adopt. Thousand upon thousands.

Yes and no.

The first three I was totally cool with. I could have never supported those babies.

The twins I sort of feel guilty about sometimes, when I see twins in a stroller or in a doublemint commercial or something.

The last 2--forget about it. Their dad was such an ass. They would have come to no good.
