Judged: 1 1 1 "Hello Dave....." Star trek may have been fiction but the imagination that it fueled to science and technology is well documented. It led us to say "why can't we do that...?" By the way, I did read up on HAARP and found it quite interesting. Now, I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist as my brother is, but i am a big sci fi fan however as far as the facility? let's just say that I'm skeptical that the facility is "for research only" Any time that the U.S. Military is involved, it's usually for the advancement of the war machine. Oh, by the way, care of the hand Mr. Nelson. |

Judged: 1 1 1 I'm just wondering RA if science has advanced quicker and further because of war? I believe Its sad but It seems to me that the greatest technological advances occur and are necessitated by War and conflict. Science and warfare are a two edged sword. Medicine, rocketry, technology,(computers, rubber,, all have advanced because of war. I just wish that it wasn't so but it did. Is it also possible that wartime economies is simply a more efficient way to channel much-needed resources to R&D and big-scale engineering that might not serve an immediate civil purpose? "Sir, I've an idea for a hammer that could transform into a light saber, thereby decreasing the amount of stuff to be carried by our troops." "Have you made a working prototype?" "Er... not as yet, sir, but I'm sure it'll work..." "How much will it cost?" "Ten gazillion dollars, sir." "You got it. We need light sabre-able hammers, and we need them yesterday!" |

Judged: 2 1 1 No atheism is just the lack of a belief in all deities. Christianity is being atheistic about all deities, except the God of Abraham. However, on this site, for purposes of debate, due to the very nasty fundamentalism that has reared its ugly head here, some of us who are atheists, are questioning the beliefs of Christians by pointing out to them how they do not follow what their own beliefs teach. In any debate or discussion, one has to use the tools at one's disposal. Since a Christian supposedly knows the tenets of their faith, then when they veer drastically from those tenets, it is natural to bring up those points in a debate, to emphasize how or why they are wrong about what they are saying. If you preach a certain morality (Christian ethics in this case) then it follows that you would not be encouraging hatred against anyone, as many 'Christians' here have been doing against gays, for example. |

I want to blame it on Happy Lesbo, since she put me up to it. However, I am a grown person and must take full responsibility. My mom did not raise me this way and in real life I am better than that. If you can forgive me, it will go along way in my AA recovery.

Judged: 1 1 1 Jesus said that "the Kingdom of God is within you" to HIS DISCIPLES. it had nothing to do with 'knowing one's self' but everything to do with being "hidden with Christ in God" which is the theme of the New Testament. self realization is a satanic ("you will be like God and know good & evil...") and a new-age concept. |

Judged: 1 1 1 Interesting. Do you think that Columbus was more than a greedy explorer? Some believe that Columbus wanted to find gold to finance a new crusade to recapture Jerusalem from the Muslims, believing that Jerusalem must be in Christian hands before Jesus' Second Coming. I'm not sure about that even though some scholars point to the mysterious "Book of Prophecies," a gathering of mostly biblical pronouncements that seem to lend divine significance to Columbus's voyages. The book was supposedly compiled by Columbus himself. Those writings are in dispute however. Amazing how our views of historical figures change with time. In the 19th century he was regarded as a historic adventurer, in the 20th he was an economical figure and now? A religious figure? |

Judged: 1 1 1 I was just making fun of idiots. Recreation. I was going to make a separate post of this, but will drop it here instead. Will be two parts. You know how you can think about things, but putting them into words others can understand on demand can be a real challenge. Especially on places like this where the impassioned drool flows freely, making it hard to communciate. Sometimes things just have to be right for them to flow. In the past I tried to relate in too much detail, trying to give the cause and effects of how I arrived at certain conclusions. Here it is, down to the basics of how Dave reached certain conclusions. Dave was a passive atheist/agnostic with a very technological view. Very cause and effect. Skilled in electrical circuitry and various other applied sciences. One day he picked up a book in a bookstore and read it. He became acquainted with geomatria and various other esoteric things he never gave a thought to before. Interesting. This lead to investigation of megaliths, and fortunately, there was a significant one righ tin his home town. He wondered what drove people to devote so much labor, time, and resources to the construction of those things. Those were some pretty rough boys back then. You didn't bust your balls and risk injury moving huge rocks just because some priest said so. Results had to be produced for it to happen twice. Investigation of that local megalith site introduced him to a technology based upon bipolarity, and a different perspective of electricity and magnetism. Not the components so much, but the processes and effects. This lead to experimentation in his backyard, where he created a fairly significant EM anomaly using direct EM combined with the matural flows. Kind of an accidental thing. He also learned how to kill it. Now, the real simple progression. Be advised this can be caused strictly by the "natural forces" proclaimed by atheists, or by design of a higher force. I lean very heavy to the second, but will present this from the strictly materialistic view. Earth, a collection of matter. Its transfer of energy received from the cosmos results in the telluric currents being formed. Those are the EM forces following the path of least resistance. They shift around over time. Carbon based life forms are created within this EM signature. Very much tuned to it, as those forces do the shaping. Carbon is a resistive conductor. A natural for manipulating electricity. Let's skip a few episodes and get into the appearnace of man. Organic creature. Made of carbon. Very reactive to EM influences. Can sense differences in the fields created by them. That stuff is invisible. It has force or power. It is concentratd in some areas. Plants and organic material tend to grow better in these stronger areas. Of course they would. Higher power levels to drive the circuitry within them, increasing their chance of survival. More resistant to spurious signals from the environment. A harder shell, so to speak. Invisible spirits that can help life. It travels around, concentrates in certain areas. Follows patterns observed over a period of time. The birth of gods. Man learns to manipulate these currents, creating power centers. Megalithic structures for the most part. A crude macroelectronics technology was created. Based upon spirits, not atoms. |

Judged: 1 1 1 Worked in some places for long times. Others not. The telluric currents were slave to the cosmic influences on this planet, not to man. Except some men found you can kill things within the circuitry of the structures and boost the power level. The force within the body was caught up in the larger and stronger stream. This flow of energy, the spirits or god stuff, evolved by thought into a flow encompassing the observable universe, originating in one source. The birth of the monolithic god. The previous ones were more localized. Baal was a god of the land. Locally. There were different Baals in different places. Different telluric current poles near the surface. New Age calls these energy vortexes. Sedona is one. We now identify this energy flow in different terms. Scientific ones. But the issue is are our consciousnesses strictly a result of this flow, or did this flow create a place for our conciousnesses to manifest? I've looked over various religions and have detected the bipolar nature of the universe in them, but they don't come up with the causation of it. The Jesus story come the closest to it I have seen. The parable of the mustard seed, starting out as a tiny seed and growing into a great tree where the little birdies can roost. A circuitry was created for us to exist in. That is called intelligent design. There is no other way for it to have come about. You don't have to take the book literally. In fact, you shouldn't. I believe there are even admonitions in it warning of such. Just don't deny you weren't provided a place to grow in. You damned sure didn't do it by yourself. That is the pride and vanity of man issue. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hysteresis If you understand some EM circuitry fundamentals, you may understand how your existence now can be a launchpad to another dimension. |

Judged: 2 2 2 They are immature minds running helter skelter. This is off topic, but is a piece of history you don't hear about that I got from a guy that was there, and I'll post it so it doesn't get totally lost. Had a shooting buddy that was in the Army amphib corps in the Pacific during WWII. He also was part of the occupation force in Japan. He told how when they first got there the GIs bought young Japanese girls from their families. 14 and 15 year old. They owned them. They even had them living on their boats. MacArthur then passed a general order prohibiting slavery, with the death penalty as punishment. Corb said the day after that order was issued there was a very big scramble of those GIs getting young Japanese girls off the boats and out into the world on their own. |
