You are not wrong, Mainstream, but there's more to it. This is a case of remembering the past too well.
Having been caught with its pants down in the Hawaiian Islands on December 7, 1941, the commander of the Army's West Coast Military District had all Japanese-Americans along with resident Japanese in his district rounded up and shipped off to internment although none of them had committed any disloyal act.
Because of this, the Army remains very sensitive to any appearance of prejudice--particularly where it concerns Americans of an ethnic group we happen to be fighting abroad.

Not just PC, but the people who knew what he was doing. The Army brass, FBI, anyone else who knew. They should be held liable for these deaths and injuries. Disgusting.
