call it what it is....not immigrant rally....its an ILLEGAL protest for illegals who want to change the laws of the United States.......

It sure is, and it's about time we citizens took our country back and our government listened to it's citizens and not give away our assets to anyone who sneaks in the door.
AMEN!!! I do have to admit, it was nice today driving to work, A LOT less traffic here in South Florida. And the lines in the stores... THANKS to all who stayed home today, it was a PLEASURE without you. I understood every word that I heard in public today too. WHAT A BLESSING!!!
Did they send them all back? lol
its people like you that need to leave! did the original settlers pay over $2000 for a visa to come take the indians land?
what are you talking about? You are telling American citizens to leave because we are upset with the fact that folks come here to get whatever they can for free, come here illegally and that are mad because we don't give them more and let them stay? Wow, get a life.
Amen |

It is time WE did some protesting. Does anyone know of any protests being organized by the legal US citizens. Im telling you - if we dont move on this thing in a big way and in a bigger hurry - our government is going to sell us right down the river !! THEN what??
That is nothing new, they have been doing that for years, gotten a lot worse with this administration. I agree, it's about time the citizens of this country speak up for ourselves, since even our elected officials don't care about us, just what money they can make or what is in it for them.
See, this is where I am right... I was BORN here |
The government officials have lost touch with reality. They think because they have plenty of money and benefits, that everyone does. The President has no idea what the average person has to go through just to put food on their tables.
Get this- we tried here in Ft. Myers but we were shut down!!!! |
Oh how I agree Harris. We need to stop this now! The president has no idea what reality is, he for certain needs a major reality check. I see they are marching to Raleigh now, geez.

Immigration protesters make cross-state march to Raleigh
04/10/2006 Associated Press About 100 people joined a cross-state march for immigrant rights, while hundreds of Latinos prepared to skip work or boycott all purchases on Monday as part of immigrant rights demonstrations being staged nationwide. The protests come as an overhaul of immigration law remains stalled in Congress. Organizers of a "No Consumption" day in Charlotte asked Hispanics to avoid buying any products or paying for any services to demonstrate the financial impact of the Latino community on area businesses. "We're hoping that employers stop to consider what this is all about," organizer Adriana Galvez said. "That if you need people here to do the work, to buy, then give them a legal channel to get here." Some workers in Charlotte planned to skip work on Monday — some with the blessing of their Latino bosses. Jose Demetrio, 29, said his employer has about 100 Hispanics working for him in construction, and all were expected to be absent Monday with his consent. "I was surprised, because he also comes out losing," Demetrio said. Tyson Foods, which has 11 centers in North Carolina, said in a statement that it supported workers attending rallies but asked that they first check with their supervisors. The protesters want federal lawmakers to help an estimated 11 million illegal immigrants settle legally in the United States. A Pilgrimage for Justice and Peace, co-sponsored by the Carolina Interfaith Task Force on Central America and 20 other organizations and churches, stopped in Hickory on Sunday afternoon. The march, demanding fair treatment for migrant workers in North Carolina, started in Lenoir and was to pass through Siler City, Durham and other communities before its culmination Friday in Raleigh. Dozens more marches were planned across the country on Monday. In North Carolina, late afternoon demonstrations were planned for Wilmington, Winston-Salem and Siler City. "We walk and pray, seeking justice for farm workers and for a change in immigration policies," said Lori Khamala, spokeswoman for the National Farm Worker Ministry. "We need to create a path to legalization. People come here with no way to come legally. We care about their families who try to make a better life." At the Hickory event, Francisco Risso, director of the Western North Carolina Workers' Center, said free trade policies drive the poor from their homes in Central America and Mexico to seek work in the United States. Marchers sympathized. "I understand why people come here from Central America," said Eleanor Oakley, who flew in for the rally from New York. "We as a country are responsible to a large extent for the economic conditions that force people to leave their own country." Hickory High School sophomore April Diaz said she worries that federal law will block her from going to college. "Hispanics don't get a fair shake," the 16-year-old said. "It takes a lot of money and paperwork to get a Social Security card here. Without that, we don't have as many options for a four-year college education." Straight from the news, would you believe this nonsense. If someone is here legally and becomes a citizen they have the same rights as anyone else, the illegals are just that illegal and they are here because they came here illegally and therefore deserve nothing from us. No one forces them to come here and they on top are trying to blame us for having to come here, stay home and make your country better, or if you honestly want to be an American do it legally. |

Write, Call, Email your Representative -NOW -
Don’t blame the immigrants - the blame belongs squarely with the Federal Government (yes, that’s your Senator and Congress Person) they no longer represent you, they represent big business, mostly corporations that pay for their elections. It’s clear that illegal workers are a huge benefit to big business (agriculture, construction, meatpacking, Fast Food etc.) the federal government could very easily establish a rigorous guest worker program that accounts for every foreign worker as well as patrolling of the border with unmanned flying drones. As long as we, the voters, do not demand a completer election finance reform that keeps any and all big business money out of the process - their will be no change - only “business as usual”. |

Illegal aliens have no rights.... did I miss something? What right do you think you have being in a country illegally?
Yes, you are right, but again, these are illegals, and they are breaking the law, they need to be arrested, turned in, whatever, the immigration service deports people every day, and needs to do their jobs. As for our government, yes they are doing less and less for the folks that pay their salaries, and we the taxpayers should do something, starting at the polls, but until then if you aren't here legally you need to go back from where you came and do something in your own country to make it better and not expect the American people to support you.
My point exactly Granite Falls, I don't think we need to hear people demand rights when they are not even legal citizens.
Somehow they think they have that right. Arrogrance is what it is called, and it doesn't have a color or nationality. They should take that arrogrance and use it to make their own countries better and leave us struggle to get ours together.
Some intelligence there, if you are here illegally you need to be arrested, deported and never allowed to enter our country again, comprende? Do I feel sorry for you, no, because you make a bad name for all decent people, no matter where they come from.
