The following comment is doing the rounds in the blogosphere:

“You know the story is starting to come apart when they start using the “magic bullet” explanation.

So, here is what some think happened.

Some think that a GROUP of soldiers rebelled against further deployment. This is why we had early reports of multiple shooters, numbering up to 5.

But 5 soldiers shooting their officers signals mutiny in the ranks. It recalls the “fragging” of Vietnam days. It looks really Bad to the citizenry. It could even spread to other soldiers and other bases where the military are stretched to the breaking point.

So, the DC boys look around and say,“Oh, we have this dead Muslim guy; we’ll just blame it on him!” And presto-chango, five shooters pissed off with the wars becomes one conveniently dead Jordanian Palestinian Muslim with possible links to Al Qaeda.

Only turns out Major Hasan isn’t dead. Which creates a whole new problem the instant he gets off that ventilator at the hospital.

Meanwhile, the top of this article reports that Hasan was making the normal preparations for deployment. He emptied out his apartment, gave away things he didn’t want to take with him, and told everyone he was deploying today. Does that sound like a man about to go postal?”

Disinformation is false or inaccurate information that is spread deliberately. It is synonymous with and sometimes called Black propaganda. It may include the distribution of forged documents, manuscripts, and photographs, or spreading malicious rumors and fabricated intelligence. Disinformation should not be confused with misinformation, information that is unintentionally false.

In espionage or military intelligence, disinformation is the deliberate spreading of false information to mislead an enemy as to one's position or course of action. In politics, disinformation is the deliberate attempt to deflect voter support of an opponent, disseminating false statements of innuendo based on the candidates vulnerabilities as revealed by opposition research. In both cases, it also includes the distortion of true information in such a way as to render it useless.

Disinformation techniques may also be found in commerce and government, used to try to undermine the position of a competitor. It is an act of deception and blatant false statements to convince someone of an untruth. Cooking-the-books might be considered a disinformation strategy that led to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

Unlike traditional propaganda and Big Lie techniques designed to engage emotional support, disinformation is designed to manipulate the audience at the rational level by either discrediting conflicting information or supporting false conclusions.

Another technique of concealing facts, or censorship, is also used if the group can affect such control. When channels of information cannot be completely closed, they can be rendered useless by filling them with disinformation, effectively lowering their signal-to-noise ratio and discrediting the opposition by association with a lot of easily-disproved false claims.

A common disinformation tactic is to mix some truth and observation with false conclusions and lies, or to reveal part of the truth while presenting it as the whole (a limited hangout).

The Cold War made disinformation a recognized military and political tactic. Military disinformation techniques were described by Vladimir Volkoff.

These fairytales of yours keep getting more and more bizarre. You sure you ain't one of those Hollywood types writing a new TV show and maybe a new movie or something.

So what have you been studying, nothing? Who cannot help it to see that the United States Military is falling apart!

It's quite simple really. He was a muslim, and his impending deployment to Afghanistan to no doubt kill other muslims drove him mad. All this case has highlighted, is that Muslims shouldn't be allowed in any army of a western country, because at some point, that army is more than likely going to have a ruckus with muslims in a muslim country. They have already proved over the years that their religion comes before loyalty to their countries, to their families, to anything. A muslim in a western army killing muslims, it simply is not going to work.

You were spouting this very same propaganda over your loud speakers in Korea during the Korean War and in Vietnam during the Vietnam War.

It isn't any more true today than it was back then.

How is our current WAR going ..JIM?

$40 million a day plus casualties on both sides, too bad we are LOSING as USUAL.

Even YOU should know conventional armed forces are worthless in this type war.

Of course ..YOU still think we won the Vietnam War...ignoring the fact that South Vietnam is not on any maps.

Where did it go ...JIM?

The USA is not smart enough to be called a superpower...maybe a STUPIDPOWER.

Our ARMY is eating itself.....the troops know this war is a loser

You're the one who is deceived. I mean how sane is it to support a person who has dumped over 13 TRILLION Dollars in worthless paper into the economy on top of the 83 BILLION in worthless paper that was already there?

Or a Person who is unable to make a simple decision and feels compelled to blame his short comings and failures on others?

Just how sane is it to blame the victims for the crimes of the criminals?

Better yet exactly how sane is it to support a health care program that limits health care to everybody except for the healthy?

Just exactly how sane is it to send people into battle then when they are wounded refuse to treat their injuries?

As far as Vietnam we forced the North to surrender in January 1973 and we had the exchange of prisoners of War in April 1973. So if we had as you claim lost the war in Vietnam why did these events take place? Who is deceived? Did not we do the same after we won World War I? Did not the Germans start a second war World War II shortly thereafter?? If we won World War I and World War Ii then how can you say we lost the War in Vietnam? After all, after loosing the first war didn't the North do exactly what the Germans did by starting a second war?

Before we started defending ourselves against the Muslims we were spending OVER 50 Billion dollars a year in security and another 10 to 20 Billion a year in property and human losses.

Prior to 9-11 the Muslims have killed over 4,000 innocent unarmed American citizens.

Since we elected a Muslim as our President the Muslims have stepped up their attacks against unarmed innocent Americans here on American soil. 6 killed at a recruiting center in New York City and 12 more killed at Fort Hood.

The Muslim threat to American families living, working and playing here in America is very real. Last summer in Kenya the Muslims killed over 1,500 Christians burning many alive in their churches. It could also happen right here on any given Sunday or Wednesday night.

Now that we have a Muslim President this threat has intensified.
