How do you know god is real? What methodology do you use in your everyday life to determine if something is real?
I have read the bible a number of times and would ask you why there is so much violence and immorality contained in the bible? If your god is supposed to be a caring, compassionate, and loving being, why would he commit genocide, condone slavery, instruct parent to stone their children to death, demand a father "gut" his son to show his love, indorse raping young virgins, the list goes on and on, how is this viewed as a loving compassionate being? Help me out here, I really want to know how you Christians can justify these horrors.
You must have just glanced through your Bible and picked out the parts you wanted to hear.
God didn't want ppl to kill and hurt each other or tell ppl to rape the virgins and all like that. He give Abraham a test to see if he would obey him and really have faith in him but he didn't let Abraham kill his son. I can tell you have not read the Bible very much because if you had you would know that God does not condone evilness.
I know God is real because I have been saved.
Revelation Chapter22.......Verse 11
He that is unjust, let him be unjust still and he that is filthy, let him be filthy still and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

And behold I come quickly my reward is with me to give every man according as his work shall be.

He that overcomes shall inherit all things and I will be his God and he shall be my son.
But the fearful and unbelieving and the abominable and murderers and whore mongers and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
Now thats whats going to happen to all the non-believers and mockers and fun-makers of God.
After its too late, you cannot do anything about it.
