Sorry, but momentum isn't growing in the slightest for climate-change legislation, because better than 50% of the people in this country have realized that there is no such thing as 'man-made climate change' and that the ONLY thing changing our climate is the sun, which means that we should just get used to our climate changing, because there is jackall we can do to stop it.

I find it encouraging and somewhat invigorating to hear of the consensus growing over the necessity for climate reform as it implies a general rise in overall intelligence amongst the masses...Unlike those of you here.

I think it is that negative mindset that prevents us from reaching this man's vision. A lot of people scoffed at a man who dreamed he could fly but look at our planes now? We need to have that mindset that we can change the world. that we can make a difference. Although I respect their perception on the matter, please respect mine as well.

Most people world wide accept AGW, since the overwhelming majority of scientists accept AGW, and although there are a fair number willing to stick their head in the sand, it certainly isnt' most. Most people in this country accept the fact that AGW is taking place.

Whether they support cap and trade to deal with it is still up the air, Cap and trade hasn't been fully outlined yet, nor have comprehensive polls been done.

More people believe in haunted houses than believe in global warming, so I don't know where Obama gets his figures from.

Many scientists are coming out and questioning AGW; it could even be said more disagree than agree. There is NO consensus.

It seems pretty clear that world wide (not on Faux News) there is a clear consenus among the world's scientists on climate change. The science is settled. Governments areound the world didn't get together at Kyoto and keep addressing climate change based on nothing. You think every governmetn world wide would be addressing this if their own scientists were saying the opposite?

Don't bother with Fox News. I rarely if ever pay attention to them. If you're getting your 'facts' on global warming from the mainstream media, no wonder you have a view that is so completely wrong. That bullshit about a scientific consensus and the discussion being over is only repeated by the media, over and over and over, as though repeating a lie a million times makes it true. Well, it doesn't.

Thousands of scientists dispute AGW and do not believe our emissions of CO2 run the climate at all. Governments worldwide are funding these people billions of dollars to 'research'- an unheard of amount- and they continue to churn out more radical and increasingly inaccurate predictions and dire reports. It wasn't too long ago so many 'experts' were convincing us of 'global cooling' and all the danger of it- warning of the same catastrophes that are warned of now. The IPCC was completely botched. And note: The IPCC. InterGOVERNMENTAL Panel on Climate Change.

Politicians have always been chomping at the bit to save us all from popular 'dangers'. Now the scientists are catching on. They have learned how alot of money and power from enviromentalists and politicians can create a giant grant-making machine that instills hysteria-fueled by little more than a small, moderate warming period.

In past years, REAL scientists have continued to voice strong skepticism. From the "Statement of Atmospheric Scientists on Greenhouse Warming" to the "Heidelberg Appeal" to the " Leipzig Declaration on Global Climate Change" to the "Oregon Petition", we see NO consensus. We see hundreds of scientists who actually have experience regarding climate and all the fields that go with this complicated theory say that what the media and politicians are saying is simply not true.

I think that in the field of science, there can be no consensus. There would always be disputes, debates and questions. I mean, I guess that's what science is all about. Asking questions.
