I knew a girl like that once. Couldn't figure out when we spoke of blockheads, panheads, knuckleheads or flat heads if we were talking about her.

My dad rode for many years, usually knuckeheads. He worked as a mechanic but his real calling was airbrushing bikes. The last one I remember him painting was a hot pink panhead that was absolutly gorgeous.

Sister Kathryn Lust and Shovel, my apologies.

I only saw your messages after the lunch date. I feel awful now. But it went off without a hitch (fortunately).

How do I get myself out of future invites? Just a simple no? I'm clearly either very gullable or very naive. Either way, I'm glad to have people like you who can give me sound advice.

My parents don't feel it's too big of a deal, they have faith in me and faith in the fact that I can handle myself. But still...

Oh honey, my post was never meant to make you feel awful! And frankly, I didn't consider the time difference until I'd hit the post button. Long and short, your parents know you better than I do, so I would trust them first. And I should have trusted you too. I apologize.

Good morning everybody
Another morning of oversleeping. Really wish I knew what's going on with me lately. Maybe I should stay up all through one night and see if I don't feel better the following morning. Been done before, so won't be the first time but that time I didn't need to come in to work so that changes things. I'm just so sick of constantly being fatigued...
On another note, one of my friends and I are having lunch together today. I somehow get the feeling there are some hidden agendas in this sudden interest because we've never done something like this before. He's married for starters, and though this sounds odd, he's 60... Met him at the stables 5 years ago, he also rides and recently moved his horses to another yard so we haven't seen him in a while. But he came to visit over the weekend and that's when all this weirdness started.
Maybe he's just being friendly and I'm reading too much into it, but he's had an affair with someone else not too long ago and that makes me a little uneasy. But I'll just make it clear to him that I can't offer him anything more than friendship. Even if he were single, the age gap is too big.
Why do these things always happen to me? Lol.
Mom says it's my new haircut. It's driving the men crazy. I just laughed
You might have your blood iron count checked. That could be one cause of the chronic fatigue. Being anemic is common and there are doctor recommended supplements for that. Or develop a taste for beef liver. LOL

I had a Frazetta style painting on one of mine. Warrior fella with a pinnard in hand, facing down a bear.
Named the bike Haduur, after the Hun god of the open steppes.
One horse of iron, one of flesh....
Ruby might like that.

Ruby, I'd follow Okie's advice.
As to that fella, IF he has a sh load of money, ride him like your horse for all it's worth. BUT don't get involved.

Apology accepted - not that it was at all necessary :-)

I think you had a valuable point and certainly made me think about it a little differently. As mentioned before, I find the sudden interest a little strange...

Liver...*shivers*- I'd rather go the supplement route, thank you very much. Now that you mention it, a few years ago (think it was about two?) I had to take iron supplements, so might be a good idea to have it checked out again. Just costs a lot of money - I'm not on medical aid yet.

Money's definitely not a problem for him. But I don't want a sugardaddy. Because I don't want to have to "return the favours" so to speak. I don't mind someone spoiling me because they want to but it's when they start to expect something in return. And that's what I'm afraid of. I don't want to get involved. I'm not a prostitute. Because that is what it'll feel like.

I understand your thoughts, Ruby. I wouldn't insinuate that type of behaviour to follow. I was stating that if this guy wants to 'show off' and take you to dinner, lunch, whatever. Go ahead, enjoy the ride.(C'mon, free food?) Have him fix your car. His pleasure will be being seen with a young woman, only his ego will know for sure.

Cook the liver with onions and mushrooms with a brown gravy for mashed potatoes on the side. Yummy. Or you might hit the health food shops and see about an OTC iron supplement. Here there are vitamins with iron. Another old timey remedy is to place a steel nail(sanded to bare the metal from its shellac coating)in a glass of water leave overnite and drink in the morning. You then refill the glass and replace the nail. Repeat everyday. The lore behind it is that the nail will oxidize minutely in the 24 hour span, enough not to SEE any rust but the iron will infuse with the water as the oxidation takes place.

Geez, sorry it took so long. Got distracted by all these sweaty undulating folks, and never heard you come in. One large-breasted beer coming up - do you prefer 'Debbie Does Dresden', or 'Squirters With Class'?

What do I do about my feelings of guilt though? It'll be very nice having someone spoil me and do stuff for me, but I'll feel so extremely guilty about it. Almost as though I'm using him. But that's just me. Overly concerned about other people's feelings. Lol.

But I get what you're saying. If he wants to do it, I should let him. I should just be sure to draw the line clearly and often so that he'll know where we stand at all times. Just the guilt.....Lol

The OTC iron supplement might be best. That's what I used the last time. Granted, I never went back afterwards to have it re-checked but I felt better so didn't bother. But thank you for mentioning the iron deficiency, it would never have crossed my mind had you not said anything. Maybe I should get a multivitamin, that contains iron too, and see if that works for me. At least until I'm on a medical aid (which would be mid 2013) so I can have the blood test done.

Also need to visit the dentist for a general checkup (haven't been to one in YEARS) and also need to have my eyes checked... Lol.

Sounds terrible.

Wishing everybody a wonderful day :-)
