Insomnia is JUST as bad. Lol. I feel your pain!

And I agree. This week really was 5 workdays too long (but hey, we have to work for an income, right?)

Agreed! Weekends are ALWAYS way too short! Just as you are in that weekend slump along comes M... M...(ugh! Can't even say that dreadful word!)

3-day weekends will be in order. Maybe even 4-day ones. But then we'd probably also never get everything done, because we'd then also plan things accordingly. Just no pleasing us, huh? Hehehe

Not if you're an Obama voter. Vote for Obama and you gets to dip into Obama's stash for some of that free Obama money..... According to some of the ignorant bastids seen on news interviews here. They don't want no jobs, just their Obama money.

What they want is more than a 20 hour work week, especially at 8 dollars an hour. Unemployment pays better, if your previous job paid 16 dollars an hour for 40 hours. Just sayin'.

Finally got round to uploading the pics as promised

http://s1129.photobucket.com/albums/m520/Orig...

Apparently there are zebras too, but I didn't get to see any. Also didn't get to see the giraffes. But that's ok. I was the only one of all the people to be able to photograph the wild dogs. Lol

The one dog barked at me, it was so funny. But when I spoke to him, he started wagging his tail. Either that, or he was using his tail to chase flies off his body. Hahaha

I think you just answered your own question, Oki. And just for the record, I've never collected unemployment, but my husband did for 5 weeks when he was laid off from his cabinet-making job in March. They called him back to work (at substantially more than minimum wage) and he has been working 50 hours a week ever since..........a part-time minimum wage job wouldn't come close to paying what his unemployment does, should he need to use it again. I agree that it isn't supposed to be a permanent solution - but unemployment is supposed to be a temporary problem, not an ongoing situation. I don't know how we would have stayed in our home without his unemployment check, if he hadn't been hired back so soon.

I wasn't being disparaging. I have drawn unemployment. When my plant closed I went fishing, drank beer and took a vacation for the first time in almost 25 years. But at some point I realized I had to get off my azz and get back to work. ANY work. I was drawing more on the dole than I am at my present job but at some point unemployment runs out. Then what? Scramble for the first job you can get rather than use the time cushion to be picky? There is nothing wrong with being on unemployment. There IS something wrong if you are on it for two years waiting on a job that ain't coming back. Time to move on..... Just sayin.

This is what’s wrong w/ America! Greed and no conscience.

Red Kettles & Bell Ringers

As you open your pocketbooks for the next natural disaster, please keep these facts in mind:

The American Red Cross President and CEO Marsha J. Evans' salary for the year was $951,957 plus expenses.

The United Way President Brian Gallagher receives a $675,000 base salary alongwith numerous expense benefits.

UNICEF CEO Caryl M. Stern receives $1,900,000 per year (158K) per month, plus all expenses including a ROLLS ROYCE. Less than 5 cents (4.4 cents) per donated dollar goes to the cause.

The Salvation Army's Commissioner Todd Bassett receives a salary of only $13,000 per year (plus housing) for managing this $2 billion dollar organization. 96 percent of donated dollars go to the cause.

The American Legion National Commander receives a $0.00 zero salary. Your donations go to help Veterans and their families and youth!

· The Veterans of Foreign Wars National Commander receives a $0.00 zero salary. Your donations go to help Veterans and their families and youth!

· The Disabled American Veterans National Commander receives a $0.00 zero salary. Your donations go to help Veterans and their families and youth!

· The Military Order of Purple Hearts National Commander receives a $0.00 zero salary. Your donations go to help Veterans and their families and youth!

Fish report:
Left from Salsbury a 06:00 2 hour run in gale force winds ( Wasn't that windy on the beach)
Short steep 3-4 feet.

Swell increased all morning to 4-6 feet with crests made fishing almost impossible.
Breaking waves at 8 feet on the run in.
Temps went into the basement around 2 PM.
Back at dock @ 5

Cold........very cold, wet trip with only 2 keepers.

Fun was had by all. Neat to be out there watching all hell break loose.
I felt like a deck hand on the Time Bandit on the way out it was really blowing.
