Ever had a question you wanted to ask a black person, but was afraid you would come off sounding racist or just plain dumb? Here's your chance. You ask a question, and i'll answer it to the best of my knowlege.

i have a question, please don't laugh at me.

i live in rual idaho and i don't know any black people. my question is, since your skin is dark, is the bottom of your hands and feet lighter, or are you the same all over?

Why do some black people leave their comb or pick in their hair?

I asked a girlfriend of mine one time... she said she's usually just itching her head and then forgets it's in there!(serisouly!) How do you forget you have a comb in your hair?

Good question

we leave pics in our hair first because of convience. i want to know where mine's is at all time, so if it's in my head, then i can't loose it. and since one of us look so cool with it, the rest of us do the same. it's a fashion trend that hasn't died out since the 60's.

plus i might have to shank a b!t#h.

(as in, "Can I AKS you a question?")

Why are the most dangerous cities in the Us predominately black? Why are the dangerous and bad parts of cities predominately black?

we picked it up from our parents, who picked it up from theirs. it roots from the broken English uneducated slaves spoke, and today it's called ebonics.

I personally have never experienced sunburn, and the majority of blacks don't because our dark skin protects us from the sun better than my lighter buddies. i seen it happen to a couple of lighter black people; they skin gets all flacky and red.

Because the most dangerous and bad parts are he poorest parts. Violence and crime is the best friend of poverty and poor education. Look around the world. The countries with the highest crime rates have the worst economies. The same priciple applies to predominately black cities and neighborhoods, which happen to have a high poverty rate and a bad school system.

Hey, buddy. Just wondering if you have any idea as to why black kids have shunned baseball? The percentage of black players in MLB is at a 40 year low.

Great question

i think it's because baseball equipment isn't as accessable as basketball equipment in the innercity, and not glamorized like football is in other neighborhoods. i also think as the NBA and NFL became more and more popular in the 70s, black kids started idolizing the large amount of black stars they saw and started playing it more, as oppose to baseball where most of the stars were white. With the decline of black players in MLB, there are not that many players black youths can relate to.

I seems like a good time to think about throwing in the towel. The human race appears to have hit an evolutionary brickwall by the looks of some of these forum topics.

Like animals in the wild we pass each other, the hair on our backs raised, teeth bared and a low continuous growl as we pace our self imposed territorial boundaries.

We've learned how to modernize and complicate the dance of dare, but I fear we are doomed to walk our miniature dominions of race and ethnicity for eternity.

We can most agree that the Earth revolves around our sun, but we still fail to comprehend that all humans live on that one Earth.

That said, I offer a solution. Fences and concrete walls. Oh, you say we've already started doing that? Yea, BAM, up against a brickwall.

I honestly think it's a ill-conceived to believe that blacks blame whites for their problems. It's clearly not a white guy fault that someone bought the last pair of Jordan's out of Footlocker. LOL, just a joke. Most blacks know that white people are not to blame for all of their fortune/misfortune.

During and before the Civil Rights Movement, it was a white male that usually held the positions of power in law, education, labor, etc. Those organizations usually mistreated blacks and "held us down" (ever heard that before). So blaming the white man or "the man" isn't refering to indiviual and every white person, only the white people in positions of power. Not many of us use those terms alot nowadays, but that's where it came from. Most of us are too worried about improving our lives to sit around and blame someone else, just like everyone else.

Thanks Black Friend, I hope what you say is true and that all this hate we see is eventually gone from discussion and people like Jackson and Sharpton have to make their living from working and not stirring things up.

I totally admire your calm, rational, logical answers to these questions, serious and barbed (read: questions attempting to tick you off). I think this thread is a good thing, hopefully some of the less-than-intelligent people who start the racially-motivated threads will stop by and try to learn something!

lol what the hell?? my hands are very pink and i have bronze/yellowish skin. im trying to imagine my hands brown and yellow.

not only blacks say ax, almost everybody accidentally says that.
well, thats the beauty part of our skin. its meant to protect us from the sun about 20 min longer than other races. but after awhile the skin gets darker.

remember when the whites starting leaving the city for suburbs? well, whites had all the money and they took all the money with them to the suburbs leaving inner cities to be poor and dirty. inner cities were the only places where blacks were allowed to live. it was also cheaper for them.

now as to why most are dangerous, thats a sociology topic. it has to do with black American history. so many black fathers aren't present so there's no discipline in the home. education is not as valued as making money so many inner black kids or adults find ways to make money that does not have to do with working a real job or education. thats where stealing and murder factor in.

im glad of the progress blacks have made especially the African immigrants. African immigrants graduate from high schools and attend college and graduate schools more than any other group and have some of the highest IQs in Europe.

blacks are the most disadvantage ppl on Earth.
they have to deal with poverty from Africa to racism and discrimination in the supposed free country. asians, indians, Hispanics as come from third world nations but they don't have the same reputations as the blacks. they didn't have to go through slavery and racism, the inequality that the blacks have had to go through. whites have brainwashed the world into thinking Black is wrong and White is right. in the foreign media you never see a dark Asian, Hispanic or Black person.
