Ya know what? I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt that you are simply unaware that there is an entire section of Topix related to religious discussion.

Here, I'll even make it easy, http://www.topix.net/religion/list

Now, don't start whining that you were unaware of anything when your threads start to get removed from TOP STORIES.

Wrong. Every so-called Jesus thread i've been on is far from that.
Besides, i'm trying to lure some over from being persecuted on the winlac thread. Believe me, there is a real reason for this, and if it is successful, many will be happy, of all faiths.

I really don't care what your crusade might be, but I'm certain it does not qualify as a top news story.

You don't have to play. i've seen much worse. One, for instance that was titled, "Talk To Me".

The Topix folks can do whatever they wish. This is their Forum and i cooperate with them in every way. Unfortunately they aren't the ones that are always doing the bitching. It's the other people on here that think they run it. Like telling others who can say what on a thread because of the subject. Nope, don't work that way.

Wish this thread would get going. i'd like to see one for a change with people that can share their faith instead of opposing it as the threads i've been on where there is so much fighting and nastiness. Of course, everyone is more that welcome here, but please everyone, let's keep this one peaceful, and represent Jesus as He deserves!

i said a prayer for you today
And know GOD must have heard
I felt the answer in my heart
Although HE spoke no word
I didn't ask for wealth of fame
I knew you wouldn't mind
I asked HIM to send treasures
Of a far more lasting kind
I asked that HE'D be near you
At the start of each new day
To grant you health and blessings
And love to pave your way
I asked for happiness for you
In all things great and small
But it was for HIS loving care
I prayed the most of all!

I believe from every drop of rain a flower blooms,I believe that somewhere in the darkest night a candle blows,I believe for everyone who goes astray someone will come to show the way,I believe above the storms the smallest Prayer can be heard.

Don't believe i've seen you on any of the threads i've lit upon.
i just got to these Top Story Forums 3 weeks ago for the first time. i had been on the "Why I'm no longer a Christian" thread, but it wasn't working for me so i moved on, and now that thread is mysteriously off the board.

It's nice to have a room where one can find peace. i'm sure there's others out there searching for the same thing. Maybe, they too, will land here!

i wish you peace- in the world in which you live and in the smallest corner of the heart where truth is kept.
i wish you faith- to help define your living and your life.

As I read your post cant believe the news about the WINLAC thread.

I used to post there.

In fact when I first came to Topix that was the first thread I posted on.

Had some wild and crazy comments from the unbelievers.

However, I made alot of friends from that thread.

I learn to respect them as they did me..

I from time to time post on that thread.

I had to leave it was draining me Spiritully.

What hurt me the most in the thread was the so-called Christians acting badly more then the unbelievers.

Sometimes, I post in Why should Jesus love me thread there are some good people in there too.

Jesus said to his disciples:

they were eating and drinking,
marrying and giving in marriage up to the day
that Noah entered the ark,
and the flood came and destroyed them all.
Similarly, as it was in the days of Lot:
they were eating, drinking, buying,
selling, planting, building;
on the day when Lot left Sodom,
fire and brimstone rained from the sky to destroy them all.
So it will be on the day the Son of Man is revealed.
On that day, someone who is on the housetop
and whose belongings are in the house
must not go down to get them,
and likewise one in the field
must not return to what was left behind.
Remember the wife of Lot.
Whoever seeks to preserve his life will lose it,
but whoever loses it will save it.
I tell you, on that night there will be two people in one bed;
one will be taken, the other left.
And there will be two women grinding meal together;
one will be taken, the other left.”

there also the vultures will gather.”

Meditation on Luke 17:26-37

The Pharisees wanted to know when the kingdom of God was coming.

According to their way of thinking, the kingdom’s coming heralded a day of freedom from domination of Rome—or anyone else—and the preeminence of Israel. Even the disciples might have wondered about that great and glorious day. And so Jesus warned them against looking for it so carefully, because “the kingdom of God is among you”(Luke 17:21). They had in mind an earthly kingdom, but Jesus steered them toward heaven, toward a kingdom that exists within each of us.

Jesus’ point is that the day when the Son of Man is revealed will be unmistakable. So rather than become obsessed with its details, they should live each day firmly established in the kingdom of God that Jesus has already come to inaugurate. Live in the present moment, since the Spirit is already in you. Don’t be anxious about what might come. Don’t focus on how the coming kingdom will look or how it will change things. Be careful, also not to live in the past, endlessly reviewing what has already gone. Don’t worry about what you should have said, how you may have failed or succeeded. Live now!

Approach the Father in prayer today, and ask:“What do you want me to do—or not do—today?” Living in the kingdom of God has everything to do with your heart’s attitude towards the King of kings:“Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus”(Colossians 3:17).“Whatever is true … honorable … just … pure … lovely … gracious, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things”(Philippians 4:8).

This is how God wants us to live, not consumed with what might be or what used to be. Whatever you do, do it in the Lord. Whatever you need to live solidly in his kingdom today—patience with the family, faithfulness at work, joy in your relationships, self-control with food or drink—ask Jesus for it, and know that he will give it to you.
Be ready for whatever comes, not out of fear and worry but because the kingdom of God has come, and is within you.
