'We the people' need to be careful how we behave at these meetings. Let's show them and the media that we are different from Liberals/progressives. Our voices need to be heard, but let's be careful at these meetings, because, I believe, ACORN is being sent to these meetings to stir up the crowds.

This once great nation is rapidly devolving into a third-world dung heap. I hope the folks -- from both sides of the aisle -- who behave like children at these things are very proud of themselves.

If they let the audio tape continue,, these people who were angry because SEIU people in Obama shirts entered while they were locked out,, they yelled as anyone would,, then they broke out siging God Bless America... and no,, it was not even out of tune... so.. that is NOT violent.
I want to suggest to the politicians all they need to do to deal with these meetings is to listen and learn... they won't even have to read the bill if they call on the people who know what is in it..and then they too will be appalled., and vote NO!

you are right, they are and unfortunately the media is lying about what is going on. That is why they say to video tape the meetings so the truth can be put on utube or on conservative blogs.
we cannot let these manipulating LIARS destroy America any further. we need to be brave and speak out against this tyranny.
I believe that if the democrats knew the truth about the bill, that they would vote against it because it steals choice and freedom from the people.

According to Obama we are not allowed to dissent to any of his policies or he wants to have our names and email addresses so he can put the full force of the government to attack us.

In addition we are not allowed to voice our opinion if it is counter to Obama's agenda, or we will be thought of as organized thugs, because who else would disagree with the annointed one.

Obama will be sending in his union thugs who he kicked back billions of dollars to, in the stimulus as well as the GM and Chrysler takeovers to crush dissenters and push his radical agenda, and if anything should go wrong, it will all be George Bush's fault.

The only appropriate behavior in Obama's eyes for us is to work as hard as possible, so we can pay as much tax as possible to kickback and redistribute to those who do not work and voted for him. And we should consider it our patriotic duty to give all the money we make to him so he can pay off those who do not want to work.

I am sorry but I have had enough of this. It is time that Obama start to have some respect for the hard working citizens of this country and the ideals that America stands for including freedom of speech, and limited government involvement in our lives.

If Obama and his supporters are not happy with the way America is run then maybe they need to go see what it is like in countries that already follow the Obama principles like Cuba and Venezuela.

These Dems are the ones who sound like partisan extremists. The left organizes and buses protesters all over the place. They have been doing this for years. Why is it okay for them but not okay for people you disagree with to show up at a public town hall forum to voice their outrage? They are educated, smart people with good intentions that happen not to agree with you. Are they pigs and rednecks too? These insults by Pelosi, Boxer and the White House do not help.

and these people are supposed to sit quietly and patiently waiting for you to do just that... the entire problem in America is that there are ZERO rules for the left but the right is expected to behave above it all.. well, behaving above it all is what lost the election to an unqualified, inexperienced mystery man.. if McCain would have had the gutts to ask QUESTIONS... Barack Obama would still be a jr senator from Illinois until he got defeated in the next election... the guy lied to get elected..if he would have said "yeah, I am a socialist... and maybe I am even aa communist... America wants CHANGE".. I do believe the American people would have said "not so much"

When liberal animal rights activists attack universities or pharma labs, that is ok.

When left-wingers shout down a conservative speaker at a campus, that is ok.

When left-wingers do any form of mass protest- that is ok.

When a whole cabal of left-wingers parked themselves to protest outside of Bush's place in Texas, that was ok. All anti-war protests, no matter how disruptive, they were ok.

But if a conservative protests, that is not ok?

But go ahead Democrats, pretend the protesters are a "mob" [notice how many are elderly!]. Let Pelosi believe the protesters are "carrying swastikas". Just go right ahead and dismiss public opinion. And prepare to be crushed in 2010. Also prepare to be crushed in the handful of 2009 races (VA & NJ governor races).

"Obama learned his lesson well. I am proud to see that my father's model for organizing is being applied successfully beyond local community organizing to affect the Democratic campaign in 2008. It is a fine tribute to Saul Alinsky as we approach his 100th birthday." --Letter from L. DAVID ALINSKY, son of Neo-Marxist Saul Alinsky

In the 1930s, Alinsky organized the Back of the Yards neighborhood in Chicago (made infamous by Upton Sinclair's novel The Jungle for the horrific working conditions in the Union Stock Yards). He went on to found the Industrial Areas Foundation while organizing the Woodlawn neighborhood, which trained organizers and assisted in the founding of community organizations around the country. In Rules for Radicals (his final work, published in 1971 one year before his death), he addressed the 1960s generation of radicals, outlining his views on organizing for mass power. In the first chapter, opening paragraph of the book Alinsky writes, "What follows is for those who want to change the world from what it is to what they believe it should be. The Prince was written by Machiavelli for the Haves on how to hold power. Rules for Radicals is written for the Have-Nots on how to take it away."[4]

In Rules for Radicals, Alinsky outlines his strategy in organizing, writing in the prologue,

"There's another reason for working inside the system. Dostoevski said that taking a new step is what people fear most. Any revolutionary change must be preceded by a passive, affirmative, non-challenging attitude toward change among the mass of our people. They must feel so frustrated, so defeated, so lost, so futureless in the prevailing system that they are willing to let go of the past and change the future. This acceptance is the reformation essential to any revolution. To bring on this reformation requires that the organizer work inside the system, among not only the middle class but the 40 per cent of American families – more than seventy million people – whose income range from $5,000 to $10,000 a year [in 1971]. They cannot be dismissed by labeling them blue collar or hard hat. They will not continue to be relatively passive and slightly challenging. If we fail to communicate with them, if we don't encourage them to form alliances with us, they will move to the right. Maybe they will anyway, but let's not let it happen by default."[4]
