I was stationed with the 100th MP Detachment in Fischbach in 1971 & 1972. The detachment was in charge of security procedures and deployment of Sentry Dogs at the depot. We lived on the 3rd floor
of the 64 ord. barracks. Before I left Fischbach,
the new movie theater broke ground. I believethe new construction was between the mess hall and the 165 th MP Co. There used to be a sign located near the mailroom advertising the 165 as Stalag 165.

Hi dog handler! I was asst Ops Office in the 64th Ord co, from Dec 69 - Aug 71. I even was temporary CO of the 100th MP det when the 1LT who was my buddy went on leave. I think he got married to a local - might have been the 64th CO's admin. Do you by any chance remember his name? I do remember lots of those convoys delievering "packages" with you guys to remote places in Germany.

Also, I found a few pictures of the site - anybody know a good place to post them?
