Is a TRUCK STRIKE coming to the United States?

we can have a strike and will have one nation wide maybe but for now in calif it will happen you hit on a good point for us the state gov is out of contact with the trucking industry passing laws thank will put most of us out of business or tighten the profit even thinner its not just about fuel prices, its about common sense legislation a lack of it , the only way to make a difference is to show the people how much trucking is a part of everyday lives , to put a large bug in gov ear and draw attention to this with the loudest voice and that's it .

it wont be a strike and they wont change anything the ones that try because there are not enough of us to really stop and park it and i know its way more than fuel prices i was an owner opp but hung it up end of 2006 and drive for company now,but i do know we can do something if like in the 80's we get a rep and do it!! good luck to you

The government broke the back of the unions, there will never be a trucking strike nation wide. Its impossible to organize the independents, and the big carriers are afraid to band together, heck they couldn't even stop the trucks coming in from Mexico. Americans are on the fast track to becoming a third rate nation because we have let big busness buy our politions.

you are probebly right but me leo picollo am going to do what i have to do and other like me who don,t care are willing to stand up and make a differance there are a lot of fighting mad people out there and i am willing to start something up and channel the energe to constructive means i donmt care what the odds are or how many people the opposition has this is a just cause and need only key plays at the right time to strike out , meaning get attention to what needs to be addressed strike is going to happen in Calif for sure nothing going to change that as for the nation i really don't know , government needs to be slapped with a good dose of reality from thew people they intend to indoctrinate with there unreasonable laws that are not thought out in Calif 1st rallies to get the word out and to sturr the people than strike STRIKE IN CALIF WILL HAPPEN NO MATTER WHAT nov 1st 2009

the answer is to get the people angry fighting mad , spread the word like wild fire about rallies , out of this will be more people educated for other rallies to start at the right time operator need to join the cause you gave up and for a good reason but if you can make a difference even if its small you have to ask yourself would you at least try

truckers rally is at San Jose fairgrounds Sept 22 its on a sunday there will be entertainment and guest speakers from air resources board , teamsters union hopeful bill wattenburg i need to work on that one as well as a cook out we will have chicken beans salad and other stuff we expect at least 1000 tractors so trucker drive you're tractor to the event no trailer aloud have any questions contact leopicollo@yahoo.com thanks

It WOULD BE WONDERFUL if all trucking company"s would Grow some balls and stand up and strike like in the 70"s. And start to show these shippers we have had enough. We provide A great service and need to be paid better rates besides A tank of fuel and labor. Rates are cheap as we know ,I am sure you understand . SO IF WE WOULD GROW SOME BALL"S AND STRIKE MAYBE ALL TRUCKERS WOULD GAIN SOME RESPECT AND SHOW THESE SHIPPER"S WE HAD ENOUGH.
