Is a TRUCK STRIKE coming to the United States?

Everyone in the US needs to just say enough is enough! Just park it, use your bikes, kids wagons, horses, strolers. I just wish this had been a lot more organized for all of us, giving us time to prepare and make arrangements. We honestly cannot start to strike untill April 3rd, I'm sorry but when you only hear bits and pieces, and nobody has the same story, on top of the fact it was March 30th when we heard the first thing about this...It's the best we can do. A strike to restrict MY speed limit?

Sorry, I am not a trucker, and I flat out REFUSE to support another 55 mile per hour speed limit so you can buy cheap gas.

How in the world word we get our medicine, food, milk and other things that we need ? If we didn't have the trucks to delivery this stuff to us how would we be able to live ? There is NO WAY we can live without the medicine and food we need.

We need to so something now before it gets to far out of hand which we are looking at now. If we don't do anything about it now we could be aiming for a lot of trouble down the road. We really need to get something done before it gets to far out of hand.

4 years ago I hung up the keys to my truck. I went back to being a company driver (LTL). While I feel bad for O/O in the present situation I don't think a strike would do anything to improve the situation. Everyone is facing hard times not just O/O. Most company drivers live pay chk to pay chk as do alot of O/O. I doubt if company drivers will risk their job going on strike to help O/O, especially since the whole strike seems disorganized, with no barginning panel/person to negotiate with the impersonnel them that the strike is suspose to be against. Who is the strike aimed at? GW? Big oil? OPEC? Venezuela? enviornmentalist? Congress? or all of the above? Good luck on bringing down fuel prices, boosting the economy, and saving the world from economic recession, with your three day strike. If we only knew how easilly all of the above could be accomplished, I for one would have gone on strike years ago. Lots of luck!

Someone has to stand up to all the BS. The people of the US have fallen down and can't get up off their flabby butts. Know what.... there's NO magic button to push and everything will be ok.

It's time to stand and be strong together....again or have we forgotten. I know our kids don't have a clue. They just want the latest electronic device out there.

If the truckers don't strike how will people like me who need medication be able to get it. Does the us government expect me and others to pay an outrageous price for the medication we need i do'nt think so

Can't Y'all See It's not just the truckers need the Fuel Prices to go down It The Workers to that go into work every day needs it to...I think We Should Have a boycott.

Even if trucks went on strike who does the Government negotiate with to get the trucks rolling.What is the real issue Europe has had these prices for years.The real problem is freight companies and yes the dreaded load broker cutting each others throats for freight and running it for a bare profit or less just to move equipment.Thus the real problem is us not saying no to cheep freight.

You all know in a cut throat industry for every 3 trucks that park 5 other retards will fight over the work that the 3 parked trucks were doing before they shut down!!! I feel that it will get a point across, sadly the only point will be that the repo man will take your truck and you will have to pay on a truck you dont have anymore.

Europe may have had these gas prices for years, but they also have social medicine and a higher pay scale. As for who they negotiate with...the American people! Simple answer I know, but the world is full of people analyzing everything to death. Sometimes you just have to stand up, jump in and wait.
