The independent truckers and owner-operators are hanging on by a thread now...they couldn't survive a strike.

I am an OWNER OPERATOR of a small fleet. And
I myself wouldn't hesitate a second to shut the trucks down for a WEEK!

If it will do my Business good come INVOICE time?
I would do it.

And IF an O/O couldn't afford to shut down for at least 3 DAYS? He's probably not a very good business man.

Aint 1 O/O I don't know that couldn't AFFORD to shut down his truck for 3 days!

I know they would if if would make a difference.

We ALL just need to STICK TOGETHER and Do it!
Thats where the Issue is at!

Im tired of paying $3.70 PER Gallon for fuel just to watch it blow out the SMOKE STACKs!

Its B*LLSH*T! And the general POPULATION does NOT CARE....

But they will when their FUEL Reaches $4.00 Per Gallon! All hell will break loose and they will think that the WORLD is over when more than 50% of their PISS POOR paycheck goes right back into the gas tank!

No they are planning a huge poop run through America... they want us to have the poop of the world shipped and trucked through America to get 1000 dollar an ounce radiated platimun to send to the ones you love....

What do you expect to accomplish in 3 days? If fuel prices are your main gripe, you won't accomplish anything. The Oil companies could probably hold out 3 weeks easily and use the time to build stockpiles back up. And afterwards, Big Oil would clean up with all the additional fuel they will sell while the truckers are catching up with the freight that fell behind.

Oh and diesal the easiest oil product to produce and least refined is the most expensive...because the truckers have a 1.50 a gal contract for truckers and we get to make up for the difference in cost. they know that many working middle class men drive diesals so they have found another way to finger the middle class....

The Teamsters and OOIDA are not going to get involved with this issue the Nation is facing. It's WAY to big. I've CALLED "OOIDA" and they simply say We are Not going there!

They do however see us growing very impatient with the Oil Companies? No no.. Dear... LOCAL / Federal Government.

And You are sadly mistaken if you think a 3 day SHUTDOWN would not effect this country.

ITALY and FRANCE has a 1 WEEK STRIKE going. And actually PULLED it off! The strike in Italy lasted 3 days and the Strike in FRANCE lasted 2.

In one given NIGHT we transport Thousands of TONS of freight to your LOCAL Community! Including and Not limited to STORES, FUEL STATIONS, PHARMACIES, AUTO PARTS STORES, and Local WAREHOUSES!

The big truckers have there own oil resources...they plan years ahead....
