if my beliefs were constantly being disproved by mainstream science, i would need reaffirming too...but there is no excuse for pushing ignorance on others.

Why do religious people need to push their beliefs?

That's an easy answer. To counteract the liberals and to save the country from socialism and moral decay.

Roosevelt, Hoover, Johnson, Carter (ugh), and Clintoon - the liberal generals.

You can't push a belief on anyone who is not willing to recieve it. You don't have to lesten to anything you do not agree with. I hear a lot that I disagree with, I just don't accept it and I can go on my way with no bother. It's a Christians duty to spread the teachings of Jesus Christ over all the world, and like it or not, that's the way it is. I got enought sense to know that you don't like it that way but you'll have to somehow learn to live around it and you should have enough sense to know that yourself . You're not bothering me, I'm stronger than that and I don't really care if I'm bothering you. You can have it ever how you want it. You brought the subject up not me, so you ask for it, but it's just a waste of time for me because I know you're not buying but you know what? I'm not selling It's all free, you can take it or leave it.

Liberals do. They get the courts to do it for them.

don't these people live in the real world?

You are correct... B/c The STORIES were written as a way to control the masses.

Good book.
If that title isn't intentional sarcasm, the author is clearly too clueless to be worth bothering with.

The story actually makes more sense in the polytheistic version, as the god who saves Utnapishtim isn't the same one who wants to destroy all of mankind.

No one who doesn't want to accept "Foreign" beliefs doesn't has to... so why complain about it. I firmly believe what I believe and no one is going to push his or her beliefs on me. Someone who sits and complains about it is someone who is not firm in what they believe. Look at an athlete for example if your a great athlete and you know your a great athlete then if someone tells you, you suck who the hell cares!! It just goes to show someone elses ignorance and insecurities and why should that bother or effect anyone in any way shape or form. If it does then it goes to show ur weakness
