Oooo I own my own home & couch to smoke my dope on. I also did a lot worse than smoke a little pot with several friends who've turned into fine police officers & I've got no hate for them. But, 1 of em only got a GED, he got in because of his army service. He still isn't a rocket scientist, but then again, what cop is? && Your so right Police Academy IS boot camp. Do you push-ups, shoot your guns, do some crowd control.... still dosnt make you smart....its not "school" or "college", its just boot camp...&& I know retired officers who never did anything other than patrol.,, they never went to any school, ever.

To your main point that the hanging will do nothing since Saddam has been neutralized by capture, I disagree. Saddam was guilty. Surely there can be no doubt that he slaughtered his own people. You may not agree with capital punishment, but Iraqis certainly do, and the Iraqis found him guilty. His hanging was justice for the victims.

Ok first of all I was replying to your post just to reply to the whole education thing, The rest was sepose to be aimed toward's Lee, That's my fault for not specifying! I got Lazy and didnt want to reply to a buncha post's. Now as far as the academy only being boot camp, you couldnt be more wrong, sure the whole push up's and all that go on like you say but there is countless hour's classroom work as well, You have to learn endless 10 code's, communication tactic's, take psych exam's, and alot more stuff then I even know. Im not saying that cop's have to be a genius, but there is more to it then just getting out of school, going down to city hall and saying i wanna be a cop gimmie a badge and gun! Like I feel is being said. and the whole retired cop thing is off the whole point im not talking about the old days, Im talking now, today, you know present time 2007!!!!

It's kinda bad having to die this way. Hanging is the worst way to die. When a person is hang after 15 minutes the tongue will stick out long. It will be haunted later on in the area. Man, what a worst way to die like that.

You alo take claes in LAW so you know hen you can and cannot arret. There are physcology classes and crime scene hours. There are quite a fe different clases a policeman/woman takes. Then, they aren't just given a badge,gun and car and say go get um. There is 16 weeks(I believe) of field training. After that there may or may not be a shadow for awhile. Someone just following to see what you are doing. Also let's not forget the training for driving a police car. The different manouvers that can be done. I know many officers. My son is one. I watched him and know just some of hat they are taught. No if you want to be a state policeman/woman in Illinois you will have at least 1 college degree.

I knew about Saddam 25 years ago i know he was a bad man but that is not the point the point is this Saddam made a big mistake He tried to kill G BUSH SR and this dictator had billions to have him killed but his son who is now President had a army to have him brought down to his knees and it came to pass Bush knew if saddam would kill is own family members He was prepared to spend what ever it takes to have is beloved father killed he would remain in power until his death that why it was so rush up Bush wanted to bring this dictate to justice the texas Way and what why the American people were lied to Bush did not want to leave office and that dictator who would spend millions to have is father killed Bush did not want to take the chance now saddam is out of the picture he can be rest assured that his father can travel the world knot be in fear of Saddam henchmen who wanted his head Those leader who now run Iraq is Saddam former
