I deal in facts and reason and got to the truth of this deception. It is not impossible. I work for a water and sewer company. Rats and other rodents and reptiles can and will swim in the sewer system- there is supposed to be screening to prevent these types of accidents from occuring-However, rats and others naw through the screening after time and ShaZam- they are into the public sewer system. It is rare that an animal of any kind makes it that far into the piping system but is not as uncommon as you would think. We used to encourage people to place their own screening into place on their property in the sewer lines. We had a woman one time to get up in the middle of the night and when she put up the toilet lid found a nice big sewr rat staring at her !
