Because they want Obama to win and since the success in Iraq is due to the US troop surge it would appear that John McCain was right all along. And we cant have that, can we?

The Iraqi millitary being destroyed by the US, the elimination of Saddam and his capos, the elimination of Zarqawi and other top-ranking insurgent leaders, and the neutralization of insurgent attacks.

A will tell you a story that my buddy who is an Army captain told me about a time that his company was riding through the Kurdistan province. They wre going down a street when an Iraqi stood up and flipped them off. About a week later they got an envelope addressed to them. Inside was a middle finger and a letter in broken English apologizing for the whole incident and assuring them that they would always be loved as liberators by the Kurds. And that is what the guy who started this poll is talking about. The news spins it so that all Iraqis hate us. And that's not true. There are alot of Iraqis who are very grateful for the overthrow of Saddam and are glad for the American's presence there. And the insurgents are not just targeting American, British, and Iraqi police, they are bombing markets, mosques, schools, and other public places taking the lives of Iraqi civilians. There are alot of people over there who are getting suspicious of our prolonged involvement in their country, its true, but for the news media to make it sound like the majority of Iraqis sympathize with terrorist is a load of crap, I and agree with whoever came up with this poll that it's really strange for them to focus on our enemies and attacks alot more than on our allies and our victories.

In a country the size of Iraq of course there would be some that will gain from this... so they are happy...

There werent one million people dead when saddam was in power not bombings every day... so the situation is worse its easy to see..

There wasnt Al Quida these before the invasion beause they hated and Saddam used to hate them as the baath party was secular (in general) while they wanted a theocracy, now al quida has a base and a couse for recruitment so the opposite was achieved...
These people don care if they get Iraqis killed as in their mind any collateral damage is normal and they are martyrs, and you get different fanctions fighting both americans and iraqis collaborating with americans... so its generally a big mess

But whos faout is that they are there in the first place?

BUSHES and whoever planned this to make the US the main controller of Oil in the ME

Situation is pathetic,what success man..
whats there to report except more killing

It's so easy to claim success when there is no goal or benchmark to be reached. Yes, the war in Iraq is successfuly on a meandering path.

Look, bro, Im not going to argue why we invaded in the first place, I have my own insider opinion on that one. But as far as this whole f-ing insurgency is concerned there are successes to report. The insurgents have started trying to recruit women. If you know anything about a Muslim Jihad, they are very strict about only men being allowed to fight in it. So them going after women means that they are literally running out of soldiers. Plus by doing that they are losing support among hard-line Muslims who think that they are breaking holy law. And the Iraqi police and millitary are becoming more efficient fighting forces, and the Iraqi government is starting to look like a functioning system. Pretty soon the US will be able to start phased withdrawels turning over control of Iraq's security to the Iraqis. I believe you Brits have already started yours. So, you see, this isnt a never ending war. We will see a functioning Iraq, and it wont be the same as the US or UK but they will figure out a way to effectively run their country without massive civil wars. This whole thing is starting to wind down. The problem we now have will be in Afghanistan where we should have been focused on in the first place.

The poll lacks the actual answer, which is, there isn't any, and can't be any, except through delusion, lies and other means.

More liberal traitors who hate our military? Truth is the US military has kicked Al Qaeda's ass in the Philippines, Afghanistan, Iraq, and the US of A. Our military does not surrender and does not lose...unless Jane Fonda liberals whine loud enough. Then Obama just surrenders.

Our press is not reporting the real military success in Iraq: an eternal perpetual warfare machine that is working quite well; making recruits for both sides at the same time as the murderer-sadist components of pre-Christian behavior are fired up in all populations by our detention methods, and their use of IED's on our troops once freed or trained. In order to have a conflict there have to be enemies: our planners long ago figured that out and are quite actively doing so with apparent expensive success: to the tune of $530 Billion profiteer expense in Iraq alone and over a million dead. There's your Republican birth and population control program.

slam is like the STD of the soul, once you have the evil virus, there is no cure.

It’s so obvious, that the recent incident between Muslim women and Obama campaign was staged, to create an impression that Muslims are angry because Obama is insensitive towards them!

Wake up people the whole Muslim world is cheering for Obama. The mere mentioning of his name generates jihadest cries of "Allah Akbar".

DNC sold their soul to the devil to regain power. Decided to flood the country with sewers, and are stuck in shit.
To deflect criticism that they brought a curse on this nation, by promoting Obama, Democrats are using racist name calling, and confusing the differences between color and faith, to blind fold and muzzle the country, so that people feel they have to surrender to the inevitable, and ignore the fact that Obama is a "no good for us" Muslim.
All who started the scheme to shore up and promote the curse Obama are being punished big time for everyone to see, T.Kennedy, T.Russet, Iowa,...coincidence ?

Plenty of reasons was why mainstream media does not promote U.S.(and Iraqi!) success in Iraq, and here are four:
1. If it doesn't bleed, it doesn't lead.
2. Media script drivel for those reading and comprehending on a fifth-grade level.
3. Iraq is complicated - and they only have a few seconds' clip to fit before the next commercial.
4. They abide by whoever is footing their salary.
