I'm a Gnostic, seeking my way through a myriad of religious propaganda.

All it has done is make me more confused.

I do know I want a deity/Deities that I don't have to live in terror that every wrong thought will doom me to hell forever.

Any one willing to held a confused old (51) lady?

Oh, and PLEASE do NOT tell me to "JUST READ MY BIBLE". I've been told that so much, is's nauseating,

PLEASE. I AM SERIOUS...

This is all you need to know. Now quit being such a freak and get to a Catholic Church. And remember, "If it ain't by the Pope, then piss up a rope!"

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation, he came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit he was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered, died, and was buried. On the third day he rose again in fulfillment of the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshipped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.
Amen.

Title: If I Adore You

If I adore You out of fear of Hell, burn me in Hell!
If I adore You out of desire for Paradise,
Lock me out of Paradise.
But if I adore You for Yourself alone,
Do not deny to me Your eternal beauty.

Google Sufism. Its the Islamic version of Gnostism. No heaven and hell stories. Just pure, selfless unconditional love and trust.

The Pagan by Doreen Valiente

Oh, morris bells, ring out your peals,
For I'm not born to wear high heels!
My church shall be by the standing stone,
Where a gay ghost pipes on a flute of bone.

And may I live as a pagan free,
With no commandment's chain on me,
Save those the Wiccan Rede fulfill:
"AN IT HARM NONE, DO WHAT YE WILL."

The greenwood echoes the thrushes's song.
The cuckoo calls, all summer long.
The voice of wind in the aged trees
Holds wisdom of far centuries.

Whatever the ill that Man may wreak,
By sound and silence, the Old Ones speak.
The pageants of Love and Beauty pass.
The mirror of Hate is a shattered glass.

So let the world grow crabbed and old,
Building itself a tomb of gold.
Mine be the joys that shall remain,
Of life and love, in the sun and rain.

Religion is a human information virus handed down from a long line of religions through a process called cultural diffusion, going as far back as the
Egyptians. Inevitably, hopefully religion will eventually fade away from existence. But due to it's nature it may take a very long time. Just educate yourself and you will see clearly that religion is preposterous at best.

What a completely ugly thing to say to someone who is honestly seeking. Your answer is EXACTLY why so many people despise Christianity. I don't want to be around when He asks you why you were so hateful in your attempted representation of Him. You and Fred Phelps.

I may not be using it the correct way, but to me, Gnosticism is a searching for the spiritual aspects pertaining to everything in our world.

To search for knowledge about spirit/Deity= that's me.

Hi MoonWind. Been a while.

I don't know anything about Gnosticism. But I am going to check it out.

Just thought I would say Hi.

Well unfortunately, I don't think anyone has that knowledge.

Lots of people claim that they do, but everything goes back to other people and what they thought and still other people and what they thought.

If you've got the bug for Gnosticism, a very beautiful poem, IMO, is The Thunder, Perfect Mind.

Here's an excerpt:

I was sent forth from the power,
and I have come to those who reflect upon me,
and I have been found among those who seek after me.
Look upon me, you who reflect upon me,
and you hearers, hear me.
You who are waiting for me, take me to yourselves.
And do not banish me from your sight.
And do not make your voice hate me, nor your hearing.
Do not be ignorant of me anywhere or any time. Be on your guard!
Do not be ignorant of me.

For I am the first and the last.
I am the honored one and the scorned one.
I am the whore and the holy one.
I am the wife and the virgin.
I am <the mother> and the daughter.
I am the members of my mother.
I am the barren one
and many are her sons.
I am she whose wedding is great,
and I have not taken a husband.
I am the midwife and she who does not bear.
I am the solace of my labor pains.
I am the bride and the bridegroom,
and it is my husband who begot me.
I am the mother of my father
and the sister of my husband
and he is my offspring.
I am the slave of him who prepared me.
I am the ruler of my offspring.
But he is the one who begot me before the time on a birthday.
And he is my offspring in (due) time,
and my power is from him.
I am the staff of his power in his youth,
and he is the rod of my old age.
And whatever he wills happens to me.
I am the silence that is incomprehensible
and the idea whose remembrance is frequent.
I am the voice whose sound is manifold
and the word whose appearance is multiple.
I am the utterance of my name.

Daily Horoscope for December 4

Aries

Be very wary about mixing love and money today, because they could curdle and leave a nasty taste in your mouth. Someone might rip you off, or so it seems to you. And 'seems' is the operative word because, with the Moon in sensitive Cancer, you're very subjective and emotional, strongly influenced by your feelings. There is also a chance that someone you trust is playing fast and loose with your heart, although you won't be certain of that just yet.
