Dustin M. Adkins wanted a little girl so much he didn't mind it when his wife, a rabid Atlanta Braves fan, named their daughter, Atlanta, now 5. "He loves baseball too but he was a Red Sox fan," said his wife Tiffany, "We worked through it." Adkins was killed when his helicopter crashed near Haditha. He was on his second tour. "He never worried about anything. Very laid back all the time. He kept telling me on the phone that everything would be OK and I shouldn't worry about him." said Tiffany.He was a dental assistant who love parachuting out of planes. "He kept telling me that he was going to get me up there. I told him 'No way!" she said with a smile. During high school he worked at a Sonic Drive-in, where he met his bride-to-be, a manager. He pestered her until she went out with him. He is also survived by a son, Matthew, 6. "Dustin was crazy about his kids," she said. "He would take them to the park, wrestle with them, love them. His daughter had him wrapped around her finger from the moment she was born. He wanted a little girl so bad.

Dear Brave Sgt. Dustin M. Adkins,

Your soul departed this world of painful things. But a piece of you will always remain with us. It's unfortunate that you will have to wait a bit to hold your loved ones. But in the end they will join you in the place where heroes wait for their loved ones to come. Look around you and see those who share your wait. Their company will help you cope with this parting. Sleep well son of a grateful nation. May you never be alone as you move forward in this next part of your journey. Sleep well and enjoy the rest you have earned.

Obituary By Beaware
A Canadian soldier has been killed and four injured when a roadside bomb
exploded near their armoured vehicle while on patrol northeast of
Kandahar city Sunday.

Trooper Marc Diab, 22 from The Royal Canadian Dragoons, based at CFB
Petawawa, was killed by a roadside bomb on March 8, 2009. He was
serving as a member of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Canadian Regiment
Battle Group.

The injured soldiers were evacuated by helicopter to a medical facility at
the Kandahar airfield and are all in stable condition, the military says.
They will be moved shortly to a U.S. military hospital in Germany.

The incident occurred in the Shah Wali Kot district, a mountainous region
known as a Taliban transit point, at about 1:15 p.m. Kandahar time.

RIP and Blue Skies, Canadian Warrior Trooper Diab, condolences to
family, friends, fiance and fellow troop members.

Dear Brave Trooper Marc Diab,

You have left us all too soon young man. We, who mourn your passing have seen too many of our bravest and brightest stars move to their place
in the Heavens, with He who walks among the clouds.

Though you taste the sweet nectar of God's love, we are selfish enough to wish you were still here with us. We wish you could have realized your true potential and we are grateful for your sacrifice.

Sleep well dear lad and know we long for the day when no more of your brothers and sisters have to make the ultimate sacrifice.
