I don't believe it. And if it is true, why did it take so freakin' long for GM to produce good products?

I am the fleet buyer for a large corporation and we only purchase Toyota products. Millions of miles of fleet miles have proven that Toyota offers the best value and return on investment.

We have over 60 each of the following models: Camry, Tundra, Prius, and Matrix/Corolla. The execs drive Toyota Avalons.

Our maintenance costs are so low with Toyota products, we keep the fleet in operation and enjoy great resale on the products.

I drove Japanese cars in the 80's None of the went much past 100,000 miles before falling apart. Since the start of the 90's I've been driving GM products. It's been quite a ride to see GM quality climb higher and higher with each year, and each new vehicle. The GM vehicles I drive today by and far beat any of the japanese vehicles on the road due to quality engineering, and quality workmanship. My favorite example is the 2000 Camry my Sister owns, compared to the 2000 Chevy I own. The Camry is falling apart today, where the Chevy looks almost new. Both have 100,000 miles on them, and her's is garage kept, yet the materials in the interior are litterally falling off the doors and dash.

Toyota Quality is pure B.S.

I just bought a 2009 GM, and will probably get a 2010 Equinox for my wife soon too. GM has moved ahead, are you keeping up or falling behind?

GM's quality was notoriously poor throughout much of the 90's, thus rendering the above poster's comment as moot and lacking truth.

GM's quality is still poor! It was poor in the 80’s; 90’s 2000’s and is still poor! Does anybody really think you can turn your business around that quick after all that has happened? They have a long way to go and have ran many of there previous customers off for good. Their Impala 2000-2009 is a classic example of very poor quality! They had their early warning with Oldsmobile division and just refused to see it for what it was. Now we all get to bail them out. Isn’t that special?

Rather than improve quality, GM would rather kill off the division and fall on its sword. Interesting strategy, but then again look at who's been running the place for so long.

My experience of GM products is very bad. Had a 2007 GMC Acadia, the transmission failed after 2 months. Got a replacement vehicle, had nothing but problems with that too. I ended up handing the vehicle back six months early (had a lease agreement), and purchased a Honda CR-V. Couldn't be happier with the Honda, and I will never go back to GM.
GM's fuel efficiency claims are also way off mark. I could not get even close to their quoted figures for the Acadia, whereas I am almost bang on with the Honda's quoted figures.
Take a look here and see how many North American manufacturers (GM and Ford in particular) make the top ten!

Scan the papers and post them up. Black out your name. Otherwise take a pill and stop spamming the internet with more useless junk.

I'm not spamming the internet, just making a point based on my experience with GM vehicles. Just because I'm pleased with my Honda doesn't mean I'm spamming the internet!

The early 6-speeds were known for problems, sorry you happened to get one. Good news for you is that you could opt out of the lease, had you purchased the vehicle outright you'd have been stuck with horrible residual and wouldn't be driving that economical Honda.

We all know this JJfads clown is a big mouth fool who love to support a company that is failing and no fixing peoples warranty issues or engineer flaws.

Let not forget the Cobalt steering failure.
I think he rather see people get badly hurt or die

Daily Horoscope for December 5

Aquarius

It's a sociable and gregarious mood my dears, so it would be a shame to keep yourself to yourself. Not that there's much likelihood of that, because with the Moon in Leo and your seventh house of others, your popularity is on the rise and you're in demand. Why not go out with your other half, or meet some friends? Get everyone together for a drink or a meal.
