It held no relevance for me. But when I heard it my jaw dropped. After being shocked I laughed. Maybe he is jealous of Barack for making it further than him in a presidential election, but there's nothing much to be jealous of.

Wow! What was Obama thinking?? I mean moral lectures to African American youth? Really? I mean aren't we "PERFECT"??? What on earth would make him thing that young African Americans could stand a lecture in morals and seeking higher ground??

Jesse's worried that if Buh-Rock is elected and America finally has a Black President, the long-held belief among Blacks that Whitey is keeping the Black Man down will go out the window. Then Jesse won't be able to carry on (and make millions off of) the Black "victimization" thing.

i agree, i think obama's comments struck home a little too closely for him. also i think he's secretly resentful that sen. barack is on the verge of accomplishing something in his short career that he was'nt able to do in all his years of public service. also your poll struck my curiousity: tell me more about louis farrakhan rejecting him.

I wish just once, just ONCE, some public figure who was caught like this, making a statement that was obviously heartfelt but off the record, would, when it is discovered, say ''Yes, I said that and I stand by what I said, so what are you gonna do about it!'' LOL It would be so refreshing!

But, no, he back-peddled and finessed his vulgar comments and kissed obama's a*s. What a wimp.

Gary, why do you say Obama has "preconceived hate"? His mom and grandparents were white and treated him well; his father seems to be the one he is a little upset about, but he has let the pain of that go! Who does he have hate for his dad?

My question is : What are all these nice,good natured,fairminded,people with wonderful senses of humor doing here at an hour like this? Waitin' ta vote for McCain?

lawest, When I divorced my first wife, I wanted to walk away from my wife and child forever, but my parents, sister and brother would not let me do it. Like Barack Obama reminded the black men of this nation of their duty to family, I was reminded constantly not let the actions of my ex-wife affect my daughter. I paid court ordered child support until she was 21 and now she has her own kids and husband and doing very well. Because of the advice of my relatives, my daughter and I have a very close relationship and she is proud of me and speaks very highly of me. Sometimes it makes tears come to my eyes. Soon she will receive her BA from U of MD and I think I may cry throuh her graduation ceremony, but I hope to contain myself.

I have seen many black girls grow up to hate their dads and many young black fatherless men lead a life of crime and confusion.

I am now proud to have done my part.

As for Jessie Jackson and Farrakhan, during Jesse Jackson presidential campaign, Farrakhan and Jackson were laughing and joking about NYC being "Hymie Town" in reference to the Jewish financial and political influence in the town. They were recorded in pretty much the same way as Jackson in this incident. Jesse asked Farrakhan to quit the campaign because of the heat the media and the public were giving him. Since that time, their relationship has been strained and the Nation of Islam since has told Jackson to take a hike, when asked to donate to Jackson's Organization called P.U.S.H.

Jackson is officially a tired act that should be sent out to pasture! Maybe his son can reel him in. Black Americans don't need another embarrassment!

Of course, Jackson came up with a baby outside of his marriage and his wife is quietly dating another man while Jackson is still close to the baby's mama! Jackson is still with his wife!

I think Martin Luther King is up there in heaven peeved at the whole thing!

Jackson seems to be looking for political influence again. Its time for him to get out of this arena. I think he would be better help to the blacks, Latinos and whites in the prisons!
