ABUSE BY POOLCOMPS MANAGER to muslim

I am writing to inform the WORLD about the attitude of a person who manages a pool site known as POOLCOMPS.COM (http://www.poolcomps.com ). His name is IMAJUGGALO (imajuggalo), that’s his interactive name (ID), don’t know his real name. You can find him in the pool halls of this site as above.

I am saddened by the fact since I am a MUSLIM and I worship and fear GOD, I was banish or removed from the Pool Hall (where we play interactive pool and chat) by him.

The reason for removing me (boot) because I said “ALLAH (GOD) IS MIGHTY”. Is that wrong? Is this word so fearful to all? The saddest part is that he lets others to swear and curse in the chat room, not to mention gambling among children but he never bothered to take any action on them. Yes, trust me, Kids are gambling interactively through PAY PAL in this site. Some of them lose a lot of money and start quarrelling. I don’t know how it will affect their daily life. I also heard that some kids stole money from their parent’s credit cards to gamble in here. This is bad to the younger society and generation. Probably they are not Muslims and allowed to do so. I don’t know.

Should a Muslim guy like me be discriminated even on the internet? Why does poolcomps (an Australian based site) make such a person responsible with the authority to run a chat room, when he himself is unfair and moreover a racist. I asked him if he fears GOD or believe in him, and the answer I got from him is “NO”. I am shock to hear from a person who was placed on the site to monitor and advise others, especially children.

I hope all you Muslim and non-Muslims know how I feel. I am a peaceful person but I hate to be discriminated just because I am Muslim and my religion is Islam.

Oh this just terrible. I am here to tell the world that a man who drives an Ice Cream Truck in South East LA who wears a turbin, is very judgemental of black people and this is so troubling the world should know. Although he does not have a website like the message above, this is of grave concern, because he sells ice cream to children and we do not want our children to grow up to be prejudice in any way in East LA. The world needs to know because this one ice cream man might be a problem, as just because he has been robbed three times last week he thinks this way. We must put an end to this biggotry right? Imajuggalo, we take great care to ensure that important matters such as this are properly investigated and managed. We understand how disappointing it can be when your expectations are not met as a chat room manager, but after conducting a comprehensive investigation over this incident, unfortunately, we must point out that your behaviour towards brother Ahmad have no credibility and unacceptable in society.
We have viewed some screenshots of your abusive ways, moreover encouraging children to gamble. We are satisfied, that you have not been courteous, polite and respectful to others, especially to an innocent Muslim person in your site. You have not been true to the service culture of the business and the responsibilities given to you by the management of this site. You are not calm, not blissful and not polite in such situations. You discriminated him because he believes in Islam and he is proud of a former president. By saying the word “Allah is Great” is not a treat or insult to anyone, but you banish him from the site.
We are extremely shock to learn from the screenshots a manager like you of high status and standing could use discriminatory and offensive racial languages towards a Muslim member of Poolcomps, who is also human, with feelings and dignity. Your crude behavior is totally unacceptable.
I believe you are a man of great intellectual since you claimed to be the GOD OF POOLCOMPS and the lord in the chat room. It is very shocking to know that you don’t believe in GOD or fear him. Do you use your status to scare people, gain popularity and friends or should I say followers? If you do, you are more like a cruel dictator!!!
We noticed that many of your young members are using four-letter words on the site, even though the site program doesn’t allow it to be spelled out (in words), but the meaning is there. This is totally unacceptable and causing the greatest concern among us. Although swearing and offensive language is used in your daily life and maybe appropriate for your societies and cultures, but we find it abusive and vulgar. We are a heterogeneous and polite society and we find such languages to be more expletive and there is no tolerance, especially when you use racist language in this community. Yes, we have screenshots of members calling racist language to our brother Ahmad and you proudly and boldly encouraged them.
We are also shock to know that there are gambling activities going on in this site, moreover in your presence. We are also saddened by the fact that children are gambling on this site and they are encouraged by you and others. We have screenshots of kids arguing for payments (in the hundreds US$) between them, when the other (loser) can’t pay-up. This is totally unacceptable and we will officially file a complaint with the Australian Internet Industry Association for allowing an unlicensed gambling site to operate under irresponsible supervisions.
What you have done to our fellow Muslim brother was an ethical failure. It is offensive. It is an embarrassment. You are just a manger in the site, and we would appreciate some respect from you. You are a disgrace to the site (POOLCOMPS.COM ) and an embracement to the society of the Islam nation.
Even though, our brother Ahmad is a Muslim, you must always remember to treat others as we would expect to be treated ourselves. Hopefully, this letter will send out a message to you and the management/owner of POOLCOMPS that we treat racially or religiously aggravated offences extremely seriously.
I would strongly suggest a written apology from you over your unacceptable behaviour (on poolcomps site and here) or we have the right to charge you of racially aggravated criminal damages and bring this to the highest authorities, even tabloid. By all means we will!!!

NAIROBI, Kenya (AP)-- Fears of a looming war in Somalia are hampering relief efforts for up to 1 million people hit by severe flooding, a senior U.N. official said Friday.

Eric Laroche, the U.N.'s humanitarian chief for Somalia, said a "corridor of peace" is needed so aid can reach 400,000 people who have fled their homes to escape the worst flooding in a decade.

As many as 1.8 million people have been hit by floods in Kenya, Somalia and Ethiopia, with 1 million of them in Somalia, the U.N. said. Aid organizations believe more than 100 people have been killed in the region by flooding this month.

"The task ahead is huge," Laroche said at a news conference in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, saying thousands are cut off and floodwaters are as much as 13 feet deep.

In Somalia, a powerful Islamic movement has expanded control across much of the country, threatening the authority of the fragile and weak transitional government.

The administration is backed by Ethiopia, the regional powerhouse, which fears a neighboring Islamic state and is accused of deploying thousands of troops in the country to support the government. Eritrea, a long-standing bitter rival of Ethiopia, is accused of providing 2,000 troops to support the Islamic group.

The Islamic movement has declared a holy war against Ethiopia because of its troop deployments. On Thursday, Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi said his country was prepared for war.

"I think it is not the right time to be putting oil on the fire," Laroche said. "We need a corridor of peace that allows us for a time to transport goods and reach communities."

The U.N. has hired four helicopters to help relief efforts in the region but fears they could be shot down in war-ravaged Somalia amid the heightened tensions.

The organization estimates $15 million is needed to provide aid, although that figure may rise. In Ethiopia, where 120,000 people have fled their homes, the government and U.N. issued a plea late Thursday for $7 million in aid for flood victims.

The U.N.'s refugee agency said it was struggling to support 160,000 refugees in the three camps in northern Kenya as flooding had made roads impassable. Thousands of refugees had to flee at least one of the camps for higher ground after it flooded.

Two of Somalia's major rivers -- the Shebelle and the Juba -- overflowed their banks in recent weeks, and both are now about three miles wide, said Chris Print, a water expert with the U.N. who flew over the flooded region on Thursday. He said he saw villages under water and emptied of people. "More flooding is expected," Print added.

The flood disaster comes on top of a 15-year civil war that has virtually destroyed Somalia, as well as a severe drought across the entire region.

"We were looking at an extreme crisis already, and now this severe flooding is a double shock for the community," said Cindy Holleman, from a food monitoring unit for Somalia. She said malnutrition is among the highest in the world.
