End it now....and I'm 1/4 Chippewa (sp) from Wisconsin. Indians weren't native to this land any more than Europeans were. We all immigrated to the americas.

Now having said that, if every country were to give reparations to every conquered country throughout all history, what kind of a mess would that be?

And besides, the indians are getting it all back in spades with thier casinos...so why the bitchin' and moanin'?

i think that the land you have should be yours, but i don't think the money given to you is helping the young, the spend too much of it on drugs and alcohol, i don't see how it helps heal. how long does a grudge have to be held. i think you should have the right to do what ever you want on your land. but i don't think money solves any of the problems that are being faced in today's society.

I'm hoping the Native Americans' free ride ends significantly before the blacks' free ride.

why should anybody get a free ride, everyone needs to work and get things on their own to survive

The reservations are a disgrace, and you are absolutely right. I think native Americans should recieve benefits until the "English/Europeans" go home!!

if you want,the profits from the casino's could be used to build replica's of the same boats you came on to send you back where you came from,i think you got enough of a free ride so far,we have suffered for hundreds of years with our illegal alien problem,while your on your journey back home you can drop off all the people you stole and take that 'manifest destiny'with you too and infest your ancestors homeland with it.

Actually I am a 16th indian... have no idea what tribe nor do I really care... We are all American and should all do our fair share. I notice that none of you are from Oklahoma where the tribes are bleeding the state dry. They have ran ever small retail operation out of business because they don't charge taxes on cigarettes and no one can have a Casino but indians?? Whats up with that. I have no doubt the Native Americans were done wrong by our great great grand parents but why do our youth have to suffer. Oklahoma has the 48th lowest paid teachers in the nation, why? because we loose most of our tax revenue due to Native American... I don't buy my cigarettes there because I won't support them but why would people.. they are at least a dollar a pack cheaper. I don't hate indians, my grandmother was a half and my brother-in-law is a great great grand son of Quanha Parker.. my point is, when is the charity going to stop? I know a lot of Native Americans that work hard but I also know a lot that sit on their back side and let the rest of us take care of them, thats no more right than any other race doing that including whites. We are all Americans no matter what prefix you put in front of it.

The Native Americans just have to wait until the rest of the world's people bomb themselves back to the stone age. Then the Native Americans can be "top dog" because they'll have the survival skills.

That being said, the Navajo Wind Talkers were extremely valuable WWII and Native Americans serve in the military more often than any other ethnic group. How many people can say that? Indians are still brave fighters. Gotta give credit where it is due. Even if they do tend to eat Peyote alot.

And they did take a valuable lesson from the Italians when they opened Casinos. They are smart, gotta give em that. Maybe we'll see an Indian Sam Giancana soon?

The Native Americans did live in this country long before anyone else.
When there "New Americans had gotten tired of the Genocide, they forced the Native Americans into signing Treaties; many of which were not honored by the United States.
Those Treaties though did promise that for as long as the sun rose and set certain things would happen.
Why is it some people cannot honor promises that were made in their name?

Why are we disrespecting Native Americans?I come from a large family of white and Native decent and no one I know is getting a free ride at anything.Lets look whose on welfare 80% of recipients are Blacks and now illegals,Native Americans are the least of this countries problems any ways bottom line no one should be getting handouts regardless of race or nationality and anyone recieving them whose un deserving of it is crap.
