Abaddon wrote: I am pro-choice because like the majority of pro-choicers I want to minimize the value of life. This allows me to be able to do what I want with no thought to what the results maybe of my decisions. Life really means nothing, well besides mine of course. But all others mean nothing and I could care less how my actions affect others. I will just do what I want with no care to what may happen. I mean it is way too hard to not have sex. I don't want to have to be burdened with the chance of having to raise a baby. Come on! Sex should just be for fun with no responsibilities attached to it. I want to do what I want and I don't care how it affects others!! You know I should adapt this outlook to my whole life. You know the next time that S.O.B. cuts me off on the road I am going to kill him. His/her life really means nothing to me. In fact his/her life is adversely affecting my life and I can't have that. Off with his/her head! This just might be a great way to go thru life. To hell with everyone else!! Ignoring the sarcasm, you seem to have no idea in the slightest what the pro-choice stance is about. Perhaps you should do a bit more research on the matter.

If a woman is in a car accident and as a result loses her pregnancy is the driver of the other car charged with vehicular manslaughter? No? But if the woman and her fetus dies then the driver can be charged but is it only for the woman or for both?

good wife wrote: <quoted text>Let's get something straight - first, I didn't ask for your input. You could have saved your valuable time yourself by keeping your unwanted comments to yourself. Second, in a previous post you stated something to the effect that giving a child up for adoption was like giving away a piece of your heart - yet, some of you believe that aborting it is a better option. There should be no difference. One should be losing a piece of their heart either way - Your valuable opinion is not needed nor warranted in this matter. Well, Sweetpea, if you don't want my opinion, I do believe you know exactly what you can do with it. I'm sure it won't be lonely up there. It'll have that HUGE telephone pole for company. You DID ask the question in your post. Perhaps it was rhetorical, but I didn't see any rule on Topix which prohibited my answering it. Don't like my posts? Don't read them.

She (above), after numerous abortions, is not the poster girl for motherhood.
In her mind, having had numerous abortions is a badge of honor and places her in a place on high.
NUTS An abortion wacko. Abortion is her favorite topic. NUTS
Her mother should have aborted her.

Typical and predictable - I never negated the fact that it was an error. But it is not a grammatical error. And where did I ever made an excuse? Seriously, GW...me thinks you need to knock boots or something. You're starting to get a little frenetic in your posts.

I'm not being shy about anything, oh clueless one. The intent of pro-choicers is the freedom of choice over their own bodies. You, however, clearly have no idea that that is our stance.

Orange County blues wrote: <quoted text>Your slogan is HILARIOUS. Babies born unwanted and unloved cost WAY more cash and SHOULD cost WAY more conscience. Then again, I've yet to come across even one anti-choicer who actually cares about life once it is born. Instead, you, like the vast majority of anti-choicers prove that you are simply another mindless member of the: "JUST GET 'EM BORN AND THEN LET SOMEBODY ELSE WORRY ABOUT 'EM!" brigade. Oh- and BTW= imnotsorry.net You don't get much for valentines day do you?

And frankly, it can't be said too many times: NOT YOUR BODY? NOT YOUR UTERUS? NOT YOUR PREGNANCY? NOT YOUR Z/E/F? THEN NOT YOUR CHOICE, NOT YOUR DECISION AND NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. There it is. I thought you would avoid my post, having chosen to comment only on the headline. passionate issue indeed. Settle down, have a beer... and get back to wasting time here.

Orange County blues wrote: <quoted text>Well, you were WRONG. No....that is NOT how it comes across- I am not responsible for how you interpret what I say. Regardless, the FACT remains that unless it is your own unwanted pregnancy, it IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS what ANYONE else chooses to do about their OWN unwanted pregnancies. How would I take it? Uh....I'm wise enough to know that the ONLY personal and private choices and decisions I can control are the ones I choose to make for MYSELF and what any person does about their OWN unwanted pregnancies is no more MY business than it is YOURS. Hope that clears things up for you. People with your type of distaste for pro lifers and come off as the type that picket courthouses when pro lifers ask for funding for ultrasounds to be mandatory before an abortion decision. You just can't stand that people have a right to here the bad side of abortion. Killing more babies does not make having had an abortion okay. It just means more dead babies.

You just can't stand that people have a right to here the bad side of abortion. Killing more babies does not make having had an abortion okay. It just means more dead babies. I've never picketed outside of any courthouse about anything. Stupid assumption but you're obviously a stupid person who doesn't know the difference between "here" and "hear". What you can't stand is that women have the legal right to complete autonomy over their own bodies and all that happens to them and within them. What you can't stand is that no matter how much noise you make, women in this country will never lose the legal right to complete autonomy over their own bodies and all that happens to them and within them. What you can't stand is YOURSELF for failing to admit that babies born unwanted and unloved is a tragedy, but then again, why would that bother you when like the majority of anti-choicers, you do not care about life once it is born? What you can't stand is that I called it exactly as it is- that anti-choicers are mindless and moronic members of the: "Just get 'em born and then let somebody else worry about 'em!" brigade. What you can't stand is that there is no debating the following: Not your body? Not your uterus? Not your pregnancy? Not your z/e/f? Then not your choice, not your decision and none of your business. What you can't stand is that your control FREAK nature means NOTHING to ANYONE and what you can't stand is that you are not intelligent enough to grasp that the ONLY choices and decisions ANY of us can control are those we choose to make for OURSELVES.
