It's disappointing, it's hypocritical, it's worldview shattering moments like John Pickard and his ridiculous and bizarre behavior, to think they are going to help protect you and stop crime, instead they attack you and commit crime. They still have a criminal courthouse flagrantly breaking the law ever since they established themselves as the Boss Hogg's of this County, complete with all of the patronage, and using plenty of spoils to make sure their political machine is greased a plenty. They are corrupt dirty swindling pigs, and I would rather vote for a pig than to vote for John Pickard. Thank you very much, and God Bless the USA!!!

In Knox County, we have the Sheriff, the Chief Deputy, and patrol Deputies (Not including court security). And that's it. We have no detectives. This leaves the burden of investigating cases on the patrol deputies, who don't have time to build good cases because they are normally the ONLY ONE answering 911 calls in the county.

The system is broken. To be honest, it's not all Pickard's fault either. He has been the best sheriff we have had, but that don't mean that Knox County shouldn't seek even better. You know what John Pickard's first job in Law Enforcement was? This one... At least Sherman has been a cop for over 20 years (Prob closer to 30) and actually has experience, and has worked his way up from the bottom.

We need someone who will put more than one deputy on night shift, and someone who cares about seeing cases through until the end. All this BS about making press releases for every thing under the sun just because the election is coming up, isn't getting it.

Let's elect a real cop for Sheriff this time. In this case, that person would be Sherman Lawson.
