If such sh..y country as it can be divided. The same thing could be done with Iraq. To do the same kind of voting and share it in three independent countries- for Iraqi Shiites, for Iraqi Kzrds and for Sunni Arabs.

Africa is an economic, religious, and political mess. It's going to take more than just splitting one nation to bring stability there. When HIV rates are at 30%+ in some nations, you've got a long road a head of you.

Africa certainly has big problems that creating two countries from one won't solve. But allowing a repressed people who have lost countless thousands through religious violence to finally have the major role in how their destiny will be laid out is a very good thing.

It will also be another opportunity for the United Nations to prove it is concerned with all peoples from around the world who unnecessarily suffer.
