It was a cost savings by re-distribution of monies so waste would be avoided and insurance companies and doctors could be held accountable for fraud. As for the Ryan plan to dismantle Medicare as we know it and issue vouchers instead, how much insurance can you buy with vouchers? How much will they be worth when medical costs go up? If we don't have the money to cover the balance of the cost of this insurance, do we just lay down and die? What about prescription drugs and the "donut hole" that has been corrected by the current law. Leave Medicare and Social Security alone. Even if Ryan gets his mother to say "her son wouldn't do anything to hurt seniors", I don't believe a word of it.
