Ruling motivates Romney supporters

If conservatives needed any more motivation to unseat President Obama, they got it Thursday from the Supreme Court, which provided fresh political opportunities for Mitt Romney even as it handed the president a legal victory. Full Story

It is never too late to have your wife tutor you in elementary spelling class. You just might learn something. <quoted text>
Quite frrankly YES IT IS.

You responded to a post BY ME about palin and bachman by talking about welfare.

WHY DID YOU FEEL THE NEED TO TALK ABOUT WELFARE BY RESPONDING TO ME? Why not just make a post about that topic with reponding to something unrelated? I was talking about palin and backman, not welfare. You are clearly desperate for my attention little stalker!

Thanks for the suggestion on how I should I post on Obama doing something Unconstitutional like gutting the welfare reform looking for work, and asking if this is impeachable. And called a stalker because the response was not what you felt is acceptable by the ffs- rule book lol..... looks like it is the red pill or the blue pill for me

I'm only doing what I said I would. Dog you till you substantiate the claims you have made about conservatives hating freedom. You have also refused to provide evidence to support other outlandish claims you have made. All we ever get for not agreeing with your vastly superior intellect (according to you) is we are uneducated hicks, or some other childish retort. I believe in reality you are nothing more than a punk, camped out in your parents basement. You have an idealistic view of the world and how it works. That the rich are evil for stealing your wealth, continuing to amass massive national debt is not a problem, and the reason you're a loser is everyones fault but your own. A trait typical of the liberal douchbag. Much like nobama you probably have never accomplished much of anything on your own. That's why you feel so connected to him. That's ok, you can continue to live in fantasyland until your parents kick you out! Tea Party 2012!

Semantics, we are arguing over semantics. Is it a penalty or a tax? Reality Check People IT IS BOTH It is a penalizing tax for the people that can afford healthcare and refuse to buy it. Those are some of the people that the requirement that all hospitals treat people in the emergency room turned into healthcare freeloaders on the system. The genuinely poor (like my family) are eligible for medicaid, the midrange working poor can get health insurance for themselves through their employers and their kids can be covered by CHIP plans that are cheaper than the family plan add-ons from most health insurance companies. So when my husband was employed by a factory we bought my coverage as a spousal add-on, the company paid for his coverage and we bought CHIP coverage for our kids because it was cheaper and covered well child care which the family plan at his employer did not. When the plant closed down we lost our coverage and moved to medicaid.

The group that perturbs me is the ones with jobs paying $50,000 to $100,000 per year that refuse to pay for their healthcare coverage and run to the Er every time they get a hangnail. I see them every time I have to go to the hospital because my kids hurt themselves. i am sitting there in the ER with a bleeding kid and they act like they are better then me and should be seen before my kid. They often complain loudly about the length of time they are having to wait just to get a doctor to look at some minor problem that they should have gone to their primary care doctor to get treated. I actually asked this one very vocal woman, while appearing to be sympathetic to her plight, what she was there for. She was having pain in her wrist. i asked her a few more questions and found out that she had been to our local country club with a friend and had played two extra tennis sets that day and her wrist was sore. It was a weekday and before 5PM so I asked her why she didn't just call her primary care physician and go to his office. She looked at me with this totally dismayed and confused expression and said, "What is a primary care physician?" I explained to her about how managed care expected you to have a single physician that was a primary point of contact for you that helped guide you through the maze of other physicians and services available. This person was the gatekeeper to the specialty services and knew your personal history better than anyone else. She was astonished at the very idea. I then asked her about what kind of insurance she had. That is when I found out that she and her husband opted out of purchasing the family plan on his company provided healthcare. he had insurance but she and her 4 kids did not. He also made too much for them to be eligible for CHIP for the kids. Talking a little further with her led me to the reason they opted out. They wanted to buy a lake house on one of the major resort lakes in the area. They couldn't afford the mortgage payments on the second house and insurance for her and the kids. They dropped the insurance for the mortgage. This was so he could entertain his colleagues at eh lake house during the summer. his image was more important than her healthcare or the strain that running to the ER put on the cost of healthcare in general.

This was a real life situation and is not an uncommon one. Stop being the pawns of the political rhetoric and get with the reality the social pressures we put on one another. The next time you visit someone's lake house of Florida timeshare ask their spouse if they have health insurance. If they don't then excuse yourself from the party on ethical reasons and let your host know why!

You are right. But that's what we are faced with. I look at Obama as a falling plane and Romney as a parachute. Neither one will get us to where we want to go. But one gives us the chance to catch a later flight.
If we extend the aerospace symbolism, I see both Obama and Romney as piloting a spaceship that's supposed to take us from the Moon back to the Earth, but going via Alpha Centauri. The only difference is that Pilot Obama may be going the wrong direction at a faster speed than Pilot Romney.

Whitman was a lot like Romney, a competent CEO, but hyper-opportunist with flip-flopping. She changed her positions by the hour and basically represented a third Arnold term -- much as Romney represents a third Bush term. Her nickname was "Nutmeg Whitman."

At this point I am beginning to wonder if it matters who our president is or not. It seems that the people of this country need to concentrate on the entire government as a whole and stop concentrating on Obama and Romney.

That makes sense. Not much to choose from out there.

I suppose the jury is still out on whether Romney would be another Bush. But, you're right, he is portrayed that way.

As much as I was disappointed in Bush for not being more fiscally conservative. I'd gladly take him again over 4 more yrs of this usurper. As bad as 4 trillion over 8 yrs was, it's still better than 5 trillion in under 4! Not to mention the explosion of gov't growth, oppressive legislation and regulations. Tea Party 2012!
