Why shouldn't law abiding citizens be allowed to carry anywhere? Define "normal" as it relates to weapons. Fact is cowards like you do want to take our means of self defense from us. They can try to claim that it's interstate commerce, but that doesn't hold water -- especially since interstate insurance purchases are illegal and individuals do not have the same rights to write off health care as do employers. But again, we're falling into the "well-the-other-side-does -it-so-it's-OK-for-my-side-to- do-it" that the crook John Boehner (as well as the Romney campaign) lives by. |

I'm interested. Do you think that having a President Romney, Speaker Boehner, Majority Leader McConnell, and Chief Justice Roberts in charge of our government constitutes a tea party victory? They are all big government conservatives (i.e. neo-feudalists). With friends like that, the Tea Party doesn't need enemies. Yoy can say "well, they're not as bad as Obama, Pelosi, Reid, and whoever a Democrat would appoint to the SCOTUS", but why should the GOP establishment do any more than throw a periodic small bone to liberty/conservatives as long as they can win with the "our guy's not as bad as the liberals" reasoning. In some states, howver, people have put their fdoot down. In Indiana, e.g., they decided to stop putting up with Richard Lugar's antics and turned him out in the primary -- even though one could conceivably argue that Lugar was a sure bet over the Democrat in November, whereas Mourdock will probably win, but might lose. |

It will end up like the 16th Amendment. It's not constitutional, it was never legally ratified, but people have gone along with it so long, now they state it has set precedent and is legal to continue. They totally ignore the fact that constitutionality trumps precedent. And America continues to allow it to go on. |

The key is to get third party candidates into ground level government positions first. Then work up through the ranks. Be patient rather than run third party candidates for president right away when there's no chance for victory. If we get third party candidates into local and state government, get third party electors appointed, and revamp presidential debates to allow third party participation, then we can get away from the "lesser of two evils" choice. |
