Why is the US so weak in basketball that they have to get multimillionaire professional NBA players to go play against amateur teams around the world? The US should be fielding amateur basketball players, NOT these multimillionaire professionals!

It just goes to prove that the US mens basketball team would be pathetic without these professional cheaters in an unpaid sport!!!

Other teams also had their own share of "Professional" players. Some of them even play in the NBA. There is no rule in the Olympics that prohibits them. Spain have Pau and Marc Gasol. France have Tony Parker, Ronny Turiaf and Boris Diaw. There is no problem in America using their finest players. Their players' fundamentals are rock-solid that's why they are DESTROYING every team they are up against.
