NASA rover Curiosity closing in on Mars

The NASA rover Curiosity is closing in fast and is now less than 3 million miles from Mars - close enough that Mars' gravity is beginning to pull on the spacecraft and increase its speed, officials said Saturday at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in La CaA ada Flintridge.

I watched portions of NASA's "7 Minutes of Terror" and I wouldn't bet more than $2 this will land safely. I have visions of it upside-down, thrusters blasting full throttle, plowing into Mars. If there was more of an atmosphere it would also be on fire.
