Of course you can be more than one...
No...it's dipshits like you who troll around and post totally stupid statements about an area of the country. Every part of the USA has both good and bad actors walking its roads and streets. You need to take care of your own problems in California before you are qualified to speak ill of other places.

What's he gonna do? Dig a hole and throw his son's body in and cover it up? Damien will be buried WTHOUT Senor Lopez's presence. After all he was deported in 2007 and the last time he saw his son, the boy was only 5.

What would it hurt to have him escorted into the USA long enough to bury his child?

Citizen prisoners that are allowed to do so (and most are not) must PAY for it. Generally, the state's rules are that the funeral cannot be more than "x" miles from the prison and the family must pay for all costs involved -- 2 deputies, any costs incurred by the deputies, transportation, and the deputies are paid at overtime rate. So we should make an exception for this criminal who was ordered deported, came back, hasn't seen the kid in 3 years, etc.? And I'll guarantee, if he's allowed to do this, HE WON'T PAY A DIME, IN TYPICAL DISCRIMINATORY FASHION AGAINST CITIZENS WHO HAVE BROKEN THE LAW.

Considering you didn't bother REPLYING to anyone's post, it's pretty difficult to tell who you're directing this at.

Let's begin with the fact that I would not be an illegal alien. If I was going to immigrate to another country, I would do so LEGALLY. While in that country, I would not be breaking any laws.

Now, if I was dumb enough to run to another country illegally, I would NOT -- under ANY circumstances -- bring other people (especially CHILDREN) into the mess I made of my own life (by being in a country illegally).

If this man had followed the law, he would not have a child here to be worried about. In the alternative, since he's a scumbag and chose to be an illegal alien here, as well as bring children into the mess he made, when deported, HIS FAMILY COULD HAVE GONE WITH HIM. Obviously they are not that close, or they'd be with him in Mexico and this wouldn't be an issue.

I do not have sympathy for law breakers. Period. Commit the crime, be prepared to do the time.

Yep, according to his lawyer he will be allowed back in to attend the funeral. At the same time the lawyer says that he is working to get a green card. If he follows the existing immigration laws this is just fine with me. But, there is a good chance that his "lawyer" will attempt some shinanigan scheme to use this tragedy as an excuse to let him stay.

This just another excuess at gaining entry to the country. If this guy had taken his kids with him when he left he wouldn't be whinning about it now and if he hadn't seen the boy in three years he wasn't that concerned to begin with. When your boat set's sail most people pull the anchor and take it with them, they don't just cut the line.

he lacks respect for our laws, you have to show respect to get it in return.

We rarely have compassion for citizens who are criminals and thus cannot go to a funeral, so why should we have compassion for an illegal alien interloper? Are illegal aliens some special sub-species that deserves special consideration in everything they do? Nope, I don't think so.

If the guy hadn't broken the law in the first place (like the good person he purports himself to be), then he wouldn't be in this situation.

Where is the personal responsibility? HE BROUGHT ALL THIS ON HIMSELF.

Exactly. If he hadn't been caught in that traffic violation, he'd still be here, circumventing our laws. He isn't sorry. He's only sorry he got caught.

Just how did he go about it the right way? Heck, the state is burying his son, not him or his ex-wife.
