I guess when the bases you attack are hypothetical, then no matter where the missile falls its fairly easy to say that you destroyed it.

Yea when no body is shooting back it sounds just great.... I think I heard the same warning of total destruction of the Americans by some guy named Sadam... That took 4 days .... Iran will be a bit harder if they shoot.... Maybe even a couple of weeks.... Unless they make the stupid move to fire one of those long range missiles into Israel... Then it will be about 30 minutes before the sand turns to glass....

Iran won't start anything,but you clowns might,if it kicks off sure you could smash Iran but Israel will be incinerated in the process,also one or two of those US carriers will go up in flames,is that a price you want to pay?

First Israel would not be incinerated, you need to study up on nukes a bit... And we Might lose a carrier but don't bet on it... Iran is using 1980's technology , we have 21st century stuff... A US Carrier is not a big boat in the water.. It is a Bunch of boats, sub's and aircraft making a very large ring that any weapon system must break through... It's not like the Cole sitting in a friendly port with it's guard down...

Also consider that the systems used in Iraq were outdated when they were used... The F117 was 15 years old when it had a 98% accuracy with over 4000 sorties and none hit... We have systems now that are 20 years ahead of what is in the field that we could use if needed... Heck we have over a dozen air mounted laser systems that can take out several missiles in boost phase from 200 miles away in a few milliseconds...

Iran if they really go into production will build a hand full of Nuclear weapons... Israel and the US have a large arsenal of Thermonuclear weapons...

One US Sub can place 24 multi independent targeting warhead missiles on 96 targets at the same time...

Is it worth it?... Might very well be...

I don't know where you are but you sound like the typical American who thinks its ok to go around the world attacking who the hell you like,those US Neo con maniacs remind me of the NAZIS they think all the state of the art hardware makes them invincible,Hitlers Army were state of the art of their time,and we know how that ended up,just something to think about take a look at the link,that bad boy can cause a lot of damage in the Persian Gulf thats crowded with Nato Ships,the Iranians wouldn't be short of targets.

It was not German Hardware, It was Tactics that doom Germany..

As for the Iranian missiles, in a shooting war a few, Very few would actually do damage... They become Ballistic Rockets once control and command vanishes... Within an Hour of launch Command and Control in Iran would be using signal fires and drums...

You should read a bit of History and find that all the marvelous technology Germany placed in the field was after it was too late to do much good... Today Our technology is Decades ahead of what we have deployed... A big difference... Germany wanted to take and hole territory.... That was what got them toasted as they attempted to over commit... And we have made the same mistake in Iraq, and Afghanistan... We should not have , and never needed to put one foot on the ground in either case... We only did so to try to save the civilian populations from being killed in mass by Saddam and the Taliban... That will not be the case in Iran...

We could have just over a period of time destroyed every weapons platform, every power station, every communication center, Every Government building, every bridge, every manufacturing facility and achieved the Goal of eliminating any threat to US and allied assets... And is what we should have done...

Iran is a different battle.. With Iran we would not place a boot on the ground... And convert the country to griding grain with a rock and living in camel dung huts...
